I live in the Baton Rouge area and ate at Lee's Diner in Hammond for lunch after church yesterday. It was some of the best comfort, diner food I've ever had. Had the fried pickles and onion rings with the family for an appetizer. Then had a hot roast beef poboy with sweet potato fries. All were fantastic and you need lots of napkins for the poboy, as you should! Very clean, great food, fast friendly service, clean restrooms, I highly recommend!

For a true diner experience I'd say Louie's near campus.

City Diner in Metairie.

Pancakes are the size of pizzas. And very tasty, too.

When I think of a classic diner, Camelia Grill in New Orleans always comes to mind.

Strawn's for Shreveport

or Southfield Grill although imo their quality has gone down. Last time I went me and a buddy both ordered Mac N Cheese. His came out and was gooey and a good texture... mine comes out 10 min later and was like a milk soup. absolutely disgusting

I'm a fan of Dwyer's. Haven't been to Hub City Diner or Mel's in years.

If y’all pass through Arkansas, Neal’s cafe in Springdale (but a little proud of their prices), Hurley House in Hazen.
