Crescent City Grill in Hattiesburg

Love the place but it’s hardly what I think about when I think of a local diner. I’ll submit PT’s Eat-A-Bite in beautiful downtown Bastrop LA

One of the best diners I’ve ever eaten at is the Georgia Diner in Duluth, GA.

Strawn's for Shreveport or Southfield Grill although imo their quality has gone down. Last time I went me and a buddy both ordered Mac N Cheese. His came out and was gooey and a good texture... mine comes out 10 min later and was like a milk soup. absolutely disgusting

The Southfield Grill on Benton Rd in Bossier is my pick. Better than the original and I much prefer it to Strawns. Although I understand Strawns significance to the city.

Honrable mention, Country Cafe in Fairvew where you can get a patty melt for $3. In fact me, my wife and 2 kids can stuff our faces and still get out for under $20 usually.

My current town doesn’t have a diner.

My hometown of Austin doesn’t have a good one, so I’ll use other towns.

Dot Coffee Shop in Houston
Franks in BR.

Balls, they do have a plate lunch, so they meet that part of the definition. I figured folks would object most to Walker's Grill in Jackson, which also has a plate lunch. Other than plate lunches both are probably a step above grills.

Probably the same with 303 and Veranda.

Oh well, I am a failure at picking out grills too.

Yea but when I think of "diner" I think a lunch counter, booths and checker board decor. Some middle age waitress scrawling on a pad calling everybody honey, sweety and baby and telling the cig smoking cook on the flat top to kiss her grits.

Regardless CC Grill is a fine place to eat

Used to be the Pig Stand. Now that it’s closed, its Frosty’s, aka Zoyoins.
