What are the best regular and light lagers? Especially those that are readily available around the country.

Most small breweries either don’t make or don’t distribute them.

Sam Adams Light is far better than the big boys, but it's still nothing amazing.

Have you tried Mountain Jam by Southbound? I am not a big fan of lagers but really enjoyed it. It is dry hopped and has a nice crisp citrus flavor.

Does it really matter? Just pick one. They’re all mostly boring, but do serve a purpose when consumed after cutting grass on a hot day, fishing, or eating boiled seafood.

Or when you need to drink 20 beers at the beach.

Most small breweries do a lager/pilsner/blonde.

If I'm buying cheap beer it'd probably be Yuengling. I'd rather find a local lager if that's what I was wanting to drink though.

Not many in grocery stores.
And hence the reason for asking.

I will try the SN and the Sam Adams

Any light beers anyone can recommend.

I love craft beer, but if you can't enjoy a Miller Lite or 12 then I don't want to be your friend

Miller is by far my least favorite of any light beer.

Kinda like this pic, the best lager is a schwarzbier. But it's still a midget.

I guess my hook was shinier than I thought. I really do enjoy a cold white can on a hot day, though.
