Regular lager- Yuengling or Fosters
Light lager- PBR, especially if you are lucky enough to find it on tap.

I rarely drink light beer.
If I must, the best is Amstel Light.

I had an abita light that I really liked. I’m 95% sure it was a lager.

Thanks for the replies. I mostly go for craft beers and try all sorts of stuff, but was wondering if any basic lagers jumped out.

Wiseacre Tiny Bomb is my go-to pilsner. This year's SN summer lager is amazingly good. I wish they had it in canned 12-packs.
A fresh, well made pilsner is amazing. Far from boring.

I’ll drink to that.
A fresh Samuel Smith’s lager is pretty nice too.

What are the best regular and light lagers? Especially those that are readily available around the country.
Most small breweries either don’t make or don’t distribute them
Gonna piss of a few craft beer shits but the truth is American Lager is one of the most difficult beers to make commercially, you have to be point on, no hopppy aftertaste to hide any imperfections, lite lager even more so.
Anyone can make an overhopped bottle of skunk piss and call it crafty, the hops will hide a great deal.

I love craft beer, but if you can't enjoy a Miller Lite or 12 then I don't want to be your friend
Enjoy might be a stretch. I can enjoy the company and tolerate a few white cans here & there.
