Lots of people judge Port Orleans from Day 1 but haven’t even been back. They’ve been open more than 2 years and have had a new head brewer now for the past 7 months. A few of my favorites:

Gleason IPA - delicious and crushable at 5.8% ABV. Why don’t more breweries make more sessionable IPAs? I’d rather drink 4 Gleasons than 2 double HazeBros because of how I’ll feel in the morning

3-day weekend - its a great intro to sours as they actually put Lactobacillus in the mashtun to lower the acidity of the beer. They add hibiscus and lime in the fermenters and it’s truly a crushable ale.

Jack o melon Gose - just released and its not as sour as your urban south Gose beers but it’s delicious.

Mango lassi - my wife’s (and co-owner of brew bus) favorite beer. Subtle mango with a nice slightly spicy earthy cinnamon and nutmeg on the back end

Kennerbrah kolsh - great name and an easy replacement for those BMC drinkers

As someone else mentioned, the coffee break and raspberry coffee break are both great beers.

Their new saison releasing this weekend is phenomenal too.

Others have already said it as well the taproom is one of the best in the city. You don’t have to like all their beers to find ones you can enjoy.

Our tours rotate between Port Orleans, NOLA, miel, urban south, Brieux Carre and soon to be Dixie. We always ask our guests their favorite brewery and Port Orleans gets mentioned equally among all places. I’m not being a homer here what I said is a fact. 95% of our customers don’t even live in Louisiana so what PO offers may not be for your liking but folks all over America enjoy the brewery.

LSU went corporate with beer choosing an international company over locals like Tin Roof Brewing.

They sold $200k+ week 1...those dollars should stay in Louisiana

He was the 2nd biggest threat on Tecmo Super Bowl behind Jerry Rice. All Taylor was good for was the deep ball.

A few years back they changed the rule to where if a team calls a TO close to the official timeout they can make the timeout the official timeout. It was at the same time they reduced the number of timeouts per team to 4. It’s to keep the game moving.

interesting, thanks. I just looked it up and it says within 30 seconds of the official timeout...learn something new everyday
LSU called a timeout with 4:14 left then at 3:56 the ball went out of bounds, and it should have been another timeout?
NOLA Brew Bus Private Brewery Tour is a great seamless way to experience our local beer scene while avoiding the hassles of splitting the group up in multiple Uber’s or taxis. Includes custom pickup and dropoff + 5 beers per person. Our limo bus is comfortable and perfect for large groups.

True story. I was a Bud Light drinker until spring 2013 and the fearless leader of the FBD gave me a random 12-pack to figure out what I liked and disliked.

Bell’s Two Hearted Ale won the day and my heart. And now I drink beer for a living.
We picked up at 10-year tackle in the late 1st with RR...would be nice to do that again.
If we win the Super Bowl, there will be a free Brewery Tour before the parade for Saints Talk members.
Deutsches Haus in mid-city for draft

NOLA Brewing’s Darkest Before Dawn can be found in 6-packs at Rouses or Stein’s possibly. It’s a great dunkel.

Altbier & Oktoberfest crowlers at Port Orleans
Marza Marza Marza crowlers at Brieux Carre
I also believe Urban South has their Oktoberfest on draft still as well and available in crowlers.
During our 05-06 final 4 run, we were 8-5 after OOC play, and we just finished blowing a 15-point lead on the road against a ranked team, Ohio State. Except we were up 15 with 5 minutes left, not 18.
Absolutely. The potentiality of an NFC championship in New Orleans is exciting as hell.
Hate to self promote on TD, but a brewery tour is perfect for big group like yours. Trying to coral a group that size in NOLA is difficult. We’ll provide custom pickup and dropoff, take you to 3 breweries over a 3-hour period and each person receives 5 beers. And you have a New Orleans tour guide with you. Our limo bus holds up to 20

We can’t beat the shite out of NFL teams every week. We’re fine.

Lotta memories of that panchos in Bossier city. Only craved it maybe once a year. It wasn’t great, but you wanted it.

Hosted a couple of college parties with Pancho’s around 2001-02ish. I just remember being a poor college kid, and it only costs about $2 per person to eat if you bought one of those huge platters for cheap. They had great chips and salsa.
