It's hard to go wrong with Ninos, Ginos or Digiulio Brothers in BR.

Difficult to argue against this. My pick is Adolfo's, but they are more of a creole italian mix.

Domenica was my favorite in New Orleans a few years back, don't know now.

Gino's is the best Italian in the state -- certainly for its style of Italian.

Nino's >>>> Gino's. BR likes Gino's and Little Village because muh bread.
New Orleans, I'd say Vincents for red sauce Italian and Domenica or Avo for more authentic Italian.

Nah, that shite is silliness. Gino's kills it on old school red sauce Italian. Vincents doesn't even hold a candle. No need to even take their silly bread gimmick into consideration.

The absolute best Italian food I've eaten is at Gendusa's in Kenner Rivertown. This includes restaurant and home cooking Italian cooking. The red gravy is absolutely delicious and the meatballs are huge, tender and cooked perfectly. I particularly like their eggplant lasagna. Everything is reasonably priced with generous portions. This is my go-to Italian restaurant. There is plenty of seating with a big free parking lot a few steps right across the street. They also do a good take-out business.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I don't know the owner and have no relationship with this restaurant. I'm a very satisfied customer and just wanted to let everyone know of the really good Italian food here.
