Best cookware set - sky’s the limit.

I’m tired of dealing with cookware that doesn’t hold up and the wife wants a mew set. Does anyone have the perfect set? I don’t care about cost, I care about durability, cooks well, etc.
What are some good quality cookware sets?

I'd start with not buying a set and instead, spend your money on the right pieces that you'll actually use, from the best makers. I use Staub for cast iron, dutch oven, casserole pans, roasting pans, etc. For sauce pans, skillets, etc, All Clad is hard to beat. For non stick pans, which you're going to need to replace periodically, I find the house brands from Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table to be great.

About 2 months before Covid shut down everything, I replaced all my pots and pans. Spent a good bit of coin but I can say it was well worth it. I couldn't be happier with the new set ups.
I did All-Clad on my pots and pans, mixture of LeCreuset and Staub for my cast iron pots. I have a few lodge skillets too I use outside.
I use bar keepers friend to keep my all clad pots looking brand new.
Edit: Would second not buying a set, start with the ones you need and work your way into the rest.

go to a restaurant supply place and pick out one of each pot/pan that you like. They will last forever

Matfer Bourgeat or Falk copper. Mauviel has gone to shite, except their 3mm+ tin lined pieces. Brooklyn Copper Cookware is phenomenal American made thick copper.
Soy Turkiye silver lined copper rondeaus are also great. I have a couple of them - 28 and 32 cm.
Fissler Original Profi is excellent thick aluminum disc based cookware also.

This. There's nothing you can do about that.
Almost any other pan but non stick you should be able to buy something that you can pass down.
I really like to buy cookware when I travel. Gives you something to think about and actually use.

Vollrath Optio Line
Great cookware!! Heavy bottom. Oven safe. Good Looking. Affordable. Commercial Grade.
Clean with Barkeepers Friend every now & again and they will look brand new.
I have the Intrigue line, which is a step above the Optio, and I wished I would have gotten the Optio. I prefer the style of handle.

Just go HAM at Le Creuset.
Or all copper pots and pans.

Don’t know if your around BR but I bought all my stuff at Ducotes restaurant supplies. I hand wash it and it’s lasted a few years and looks like the day I bought it. It’s all super legit

Agree with what has been said. Don't buy huge set of anything. I have three All-Clad pans, one of which I probably should not have purchased. I have Staub enameled cast iron and a dutch oven and a couple of Lodge cast irons I got from my parents. What I use most in the morning for fried eggs and such is non-stick cookware. I try to cook something good for dinner three times a week.
