I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, but the two that stick out to me are Saltlick in Driftwood Texas and Joe's in Kansas City (the original gas station location). Those were great for me. We had spent all day riding and they really were on point.

Black's in Lockhart was the best brisket I've ever had. The one in New Braunfels is just about as good.

Scott's in Hemingway (I haven't been to his place in Charleston) is the place for vinegar BBQ. Sweatman's in Holly Hill, SC is pretty good too. Good hash.

I've done most of the famous TX ones, and Corkscrew in Old Town Spring is probably my favorite.

Best one I've been to in a long time is Q39 in KC...but it's also fancy-pants bbq.

Best bbq I've ever been to, period, is a place in a tiny town in rural mid-MO with no stoplights and one four-way stop that made the picture in my signature line called Lonnie Ray's. If this picture of the place doesn't scream good BBQ I'm not sure what does.

I’m not a BBQ joint seeker, but Germantown Commissary is excellent. We used to hit that up regularly when were going through IVF in the Baptist East complex.

I also randomly stumbled up one in Charleston that had some bangin’ burnt ends... Just looked it up on Maps app and apparently it’s closed down. So thoughts and prayers to those guys.

Recently ate at a BBQ place in Roanoke, VA called Crescent City BBQ. They had some kind of Brisket burger than was damn good.

I love Pappys. Ever been to Bogarts? I haven't tried it yet.

My favorite ribs are Archibalds in t-town. Terry Blacks in Austin has some good stuff too.

Evie Mae’s in Lubbock is still my best overall, but I plan on hitting some more in the next month or so when the new smoker is ready. Goldee’s is #2 but it may get elevated when I get a full plate. Franklins, Panther City, Roegel’s, probably in that order. Bretts Backyard was a fun atmosphere, Truth was also really good.

1. Blacks BBQ in Lockhart TX..awesome brisket and beef rib.
2. Louie Mueller in Taylor TX.. beef rib is probably the best I’ve had but the most expensive too. I think it was like $35/lb lmao Their brisket was great as well.
Between the two I’d go with Blacks due to the cost.

Joe Cotten’s in Robstown, TX

It’s not there anymore - might try his grandson’s place soon (Mike Cotten’s in Corpus Christi)

And The Shed in Ocean Springs, MS is pretty good, too.
