re: Hidden Gems in the South - sarmis2
If you're ever in Houston area, The Wilderness in Lake Jackson is worth the drive. Also side note- what app are yall using to post pictures to where they show up directly on the board instead of a link? ...

re: Houston open - sarmis2
I'll be there Saturday. Got some Corona cantina tickets on 16 through work, but I still like to roam and watch some long hitters. ...

re: Austin Golf - sarmis2
Would've been our first choice, but they unfortunately don't have a time in our range open for Saturday. Looking like Lago Vista since its a couple of miles from where we are staying. ...

re: Golf GPS Watch - sarmis2
Appreciate the responses. This would more than likely just be a golf watch for me, and the Garmin watch sounds like everything I am looking for. I think the simplicity of the watch is what appeals to me. I am with Chappy, i'm usually aiming center of the green. But I like what FredsGotSlacks ...

Golf GPS Watch - sarmis2
Entertaining the idea of getting a GPS watch. I have a range finder that is starting to become less reliable. I've seen my buddy wear one that shows front, center, and back of green. But do they have any that show how far to a hazard splitting the fairway, and how far to carry that hazard in addi...

re: Tapatio Spings Golf - Boerne, TX - sarmis2
Had a blast. Views were great and course for the most part was in good condition. Some of the houses in the hills surrounding the course are insane. https://imgur.com/a/p5zE8kp...

re: Tapatio Spings Golf - Boerne, TX - sarmis2
Appreciate the response. Looking forward to getting out there. I have been keeping my head on a swivel for snakes after seeing the bad boy in the picture below earlier this season. https://imgur.com/5J9s4nb...

Tapatio Spings Golf - Boerne, TX - sarmis2
Just saw this place is making a comeback and the resort is set to open early October. One of the owners is George Strait. Course is open with temporary clubhouse. I am playing there Saturday. Anyone played out here recently? ...

re: How many of you are loyal to one brand ? - sarmis2
I love my Mizuno irons, and will probably be in the bag for a long time. I've had the same putter for a while now, an old Odyssey, and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. That's where my loyalty ends. I have yet to fall in love with a driver or any woods yet. Getting fit for a driver in a coup...

Just had a buddy play Pumpkin Ridge and I think he was near Portland as well. One course is private, and I think the other is open to public. The pictures he took looked awesome....

re: Houston Course Rec.'s - sarmis2
For $45, GCoH is a steal. I agree with others though that it has not been in top shape lately. Cypresswood is always a fun around, make sure to play Traditions course. If you're okay with a lot of extra driving, then I'll throw Woodforest out there. ...

re: Playing Kiva friday - sarmis2
My dilemma next Friday- playing with a guy that doesn't have near as much interest in golf as I do, so he is not keen on paying for Kiva over GSGC. I think I am going to book the earliest time out for Kiva the next morning to get it in while I am over there. ...

re: Dumbest things in Golf according to Golf Digest - sarmis2
I agree with this. I played Golf Club of Houston (Shell Houston Open Course) a couple of weeks back. The ball rolling on the greens looked like plinko, but we only had to pay $50 versus $125 at peak time. I was completely fine with playing on those greens at that price. ...

re: Most durable golf grips you've used? - sarmis2
I had the same issue with my Winn's wearing out faster than other grips I've had. I do have some rough hands though. Just bought some MCC+4, getting them changed out this week. ...
