350 Legend - mingoswamp
I see a lot of this ammo available and know it can run on an AR15 lower, with the correct upper configuration. I guess the availability is from its newness to the market. Is anyone using this, and what is the purpose? I figure hogs and deer out to 150yds more or less....

re: Slate shingle roof - mingoswamp
I have an old slate tile with a pencil sketch of Bourbon street on it. I can't imagine using such an unforgiving non flexing item for a roof. Great to look at, but slate & clay tiles belong on somebody's roof besides mine....

re: Speaker Wire - mingoswamp
Does the stranding of the cable
Supposedly higher strand count makes a difference. But at that short of distance I don't think there would be enough resistance to notice a difference in sound. Higher strand count is nice because the cable is less stiff. ...

re: David Bowie's Favourite Songs - mingoswamp
Damn. I am insanely jealous.
I was lucky. A local radio station gave away 500 tickets, otherwise I wouldn't have gone. Me and my date moved way back to the rear of the venue & made out for the majority of the concert. I later came to like some of Bowie's music, but that concert suc...

re: Do deer eat Habanero Pepper plants? - mingoswamp
I finally gave up. They would pull the peppers (habos & jalapeno) off the plant and chew the leaves down to the stalk. All that was left were bitten peppers on the ground. Only thing they wouldn't eat was basil & rosemary....

wo
TigerstuckinMS
. Mission aborted. Even after soaking the two weakside roll pins in CLP, I wasn't able to get them to budge and bent a roll pin punch during the process. I decided to quit before I marred up the slide to badly :banghead: ...

re: How much do you need to earn to buy a home in San Jose, CA? More than $240K a year - mingoswamp
The company I worked at for 20 years before retiring was headquartered in Sunnyvale. Last time I was there was in 2015. I couldn't believe how many how many people were renting out their front yards to people living in RVs. The streets & parking lots were the same way. Commuting in Cali is beyon...
Great way to decrease reliability to try to get around practicing.
From everything I've read, I'm going to have to disagree with you unless you're shooting steel ammo. I don't....

re: David Bowie's Favourite Songs - mingoswamp
Off subject, but I saw David Bowie's on his Ziggy & the Stardust tour back in October 1972 at Kiel Auditorium in STL. I don't think there were 1000 people there....
Not sure I trust myself to do that, though.
The TJIB really doesn't look that bad from watching a lot of videos. A 1.75mm #2 crochet hook helps on the trigger bar spring. Never thought I'd have one of those in my tool box until this week. The 'G' decocker kit is way more dauntin...
I want to add a 92X Centurion to the stable from Langdon Tactical.
Langdon does nice work from my recent research. Depending how crazy I get with this, his 'trigger in a bag' may eventually happen. I originally started looking for a 9mm 1911 (hard to find), and ended up going do...
I have the 92FS INOX and only added a Hogue slip on for better grip and to fatten it up for my mitt.
Really nice! My meat claws had to go thinner on the grips. I think my LOK grips are overall 3/16" thinner side to side. I noticed that your gun has the standard safety decocker....

re: Beretta 92 fans? - mingoswamp
Well, this was my first 92 series and had I known I may have upgraded to a higher cost series. With doing everything already mentioned & already own the G kit, I'm into it for for about $850. It came with three 17rd mags. If I add new sights I figure I'll still be in it for less than a Brigadier...

re: Beretta 92 fans? - mingoswamp
Just curious - you are doing all those modifications for what purpose ??
It'll be a nightstand/truck/range gun. I've got others for CCW. Factory grips a tad too big for my hands & standard mag release was almost a two handed affair. Hammer spring reduced the DA to under 10# pull...
