Well shite. Now I might have to venture over for lunch today.

Thanks for that.

ETA Update: That was one mighty good pork rib. I think I’m in agreement, probably my favorite pork ribs I’ve ever had. Frick any sauce when produced like that!

Brisket…still prefer Feges. The crust on the Roegel’s brisket might have been the most flavorful I’ve had, but had to eat the entire middle park with sauce. Feges just melts all in your mouth.

The side of collard greens was very good, though a bit on the salty side. Had the Texas caviar too, though just a few bites. Main reason for BBQ joints is the meats anyway.

I’ll be back. Think next time I’ll just order a full pound of the phenomenal pork ribs with a side of the greens.

I work close by so let me know. It's been a minute

Every Thursday is pastrami/Reuben day. Their pork belly is also fantastic.

Roegels is hard to beat for brisket-ribs. Best pork ribs I've had as well. And agree on the collards.

I honestly don’t give much thought to sides at BBQ joints, but that charred okra at Pit Room is about as top-tier as a side dish can get.

It’s not always available, though.

Will we be able to easily walk-in at Pit Room or will there (typically) be a long line?

Lines at the Pit Room are never that bad compared to say…Truth.

Seating can be a problem, the restaurant is small and people don’t understand eating and getting the frick up. Luckily they own the bar right next door so you can take your bbq there and eat on the patio if the weather is nice.

We went to the Roegels on the frontage road in Katy a few weeks ago. We got a sampling of brisket, ribs, j/c sausage and pulled pork. It was good but nothing but not “oh my goodness “ good. The elote was awesome.

Went to pit room for lunch.
Brisket was fantastic. Sausage was good, not great.
Elote was good. Vinegar slaw ok.
I was really just after that brisket. Overall very pleased.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I used to say the same, but I could eat a plate of just sides at Truth.
