I need a bar top ice maker for an outdoor kitchen that makes nugget ice to go along with the undercounter cube ice machine. Amazon has a bunch, but who can trust ratings these days? Anyone own or owned one?

We bought this one about a month ago and it's been good so far. IDK if you're looking for one that you hook a water line to, but this one you have to manually add water, but it's not that big of a deal for us.

I have the $99 black one.
Amazon

It works great. Have let it run for consecutive days and just keep adding water.

They all break

Its way easier to buy a couple 1.99 bags of ice from gas station before a party if you know you will need it

Sure, but ice isn't the issue. I have a Mantiwoc for filling coolers and such, but want a "sonic ice" or pellet type for myself. Don't need much more than these units make. Thanks for all of the replies fellas.

I have a POS Samsung fridge with 2 ice makers that don’t f’ng work. So we got the countertop ice maker for ice everyday, not just for parties.

Are you putting in a fridge? Samsung has it as a option in some units now but I am not sure how good the ice is.

We have a GE Opal nugget ice maker at the office, and we go through 2+ bins a day.

After four months or so it's still keeping up. Get the extra side tank and be sure to always use distilled water (~$1/gal at WallyWorld).

I've had mine for years, and I love it.

Got it back when it was on Kickstarter through FirstBuild

I bought this bad boy about a month ago and use it 4-5 times a day now. It's awesome.

GE had way too many negative reviews for me to pull the trigger on it

I got one like this. It’s not Sonic ice, but bullet shaped. Works great.

The one we got from Amazon
We're really pleased with it. The ice is "soft" nuggets, great to munch on.

My Samsung fridge had issues with its ice maker too. I have nothing but problems with Samsung appliances and will never by their appliances again.
