Me and the wife are heading there in mid July. Looking for brewery and restaurant recommendations. Beers would be on the IPA and Sour side. Food can really be any type. Some places I saw on the net that looked interesting were:

Bens tune up
Buxton hall
Mayfels
White lab
Luella

Breweries:

Bhramari
Burial
Green man
Wicked weed

Look up "Grush's Cajun Dino Grill". It's my nephew's pop up around town, usually around a music venue.

He's very talented.

Bhramari is a fun spot. Last time we were there they were only doing outside seating, but that may change by July with Covid restrictions lightening up.

French Broad Chocolate lounge. The line was too long when we were there about a year ago, but it was Valentines weekend. We went to the old location years ago and it was fun.

Cúrate is a must for dinner. But call way in advance because you need a reservation.

Would also recommend booking a waterfall hike. There are a dozen or so within an easy drive of Asheville. Make sure you print or screenshot the maps, because there is very little cell service on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Two that come to mind are skinny dip falls and graveyard fields loop. No guide needed if you know where to go in advance. Would also recommend zip lining at Navitat in Barnardsville There is an excellent pizza restaurant, Blue Mountain Pizza nearby.

For restaurants..

Buxton Hall BBQ (right next to Catawba Brewing which is a good one)

Curate - Spanish tapas style, great wine list

Red Stag Grill - Great steaks (elk, beef, etc)

Grove Park Inn Sunset Terrace - Tomahawk Ribeye was out of this world and the view is amazing in the evening

Tupelo Honey for Breakfast - chicken and waffles and biscuits

Favorite brewery when wife and I visited Asheville in October 2020 was DSSOLVR

Also agree with Curate suggestion as it was delicious

Stayed at the grove park in and the Sunset Terrace was nice as well.

The Biltmore was very cool to see. I wouldn't do it again but I am glad we decided to check it out when we went.

Was in Asheville in April and had a blast

We had dinner at Rhubarb and it was spectacular. They had just reopened at that point.

I would note it was impossible to get an Uber or Lyft or even a cab for that matter. Hopefully that’s better now but for situational awareness

Was hoping to do an uber on the brewery day. Gonna pick 4 and hit those. Wasn't going to drive.

I live in Charlotte and just got back from Asheville this pas weekend.

Bhramari has really good food the beer is really good but very different. A lot of flavors influence.

Wicked Weed is awesome

Hi Wire is a great place as well it's connected to Ben's.

Biscuit Head for breakfast.

Sawhorse and the Admiral as other options for you for dinner.

Even Asheville taxi was a bust for me 2 weeks ago. Tried to get from downtown to west A-Ville. Waited over an hour then gave up. About to be back in town in a couple hours. Hope these clowns have relaxed some

Dang. Going the weekend after next. Will have a rental car (assuming they didn’t sell them all off when I get there for my reservation) and also chose walkable restaurants, so hopefully that helps.

Kinda makes you nervous going somewhere via Lyft not knowing if you can get back home.

For breweries:
DSSOLVR
Bhramari
Burial
Hi-Wire
Eurisko
Green Man
Twin Leaf

All of those are walkable if you are staying downtown, so no need to worry about ubers/lyft.

Wedge and Archtype are good but not quite as easily walkable.

The Whale Craft Beer Collective is awesome, but also not an easy walk from downtown.
