I'll be honest, I had never heard of Talisheek, Louisiana until listening to this podcast. It's a good listen for sure.

Back when I worked in the ER, middle aged guy came in with rectal pain. Turns out he had a shampoo bottle lodged in his rectum, said he slipped in the shower and somehow it got up there. But for the most part its just large dildos in middle aged men. Pulled a tampon out of a lady's vagina that had been there for months, it was not a pleasant smell.

Glad somebody finally mentioned TRU. I always feel like somebody's watching me.

Wife got this and it was the favorite at the table. This was the summer menu so I'm not sure when they will change.

We actually went to Nobie's for dinner on the Saturday night and liked the food there better than Bludorn.

Bludorn is great. We've eaten there almost every time we have visited Houston and haven't had a bad meal.
Le Colonial

We have eaten here for lunch on a couple occasions food and drinks are great. Its a different menu for sure.

Just curious, how much was it?

If I remember correctly it was around $400-$500.
Bought the lifetime membership in 2006.
I had no idea the public could play at Fennwood, I've lived in Zachary for the past 5 years. Hope I have a chance to check it out at some point.

This number is burned in my memory, wonder if we know each other.

Verlin actually, but sounded like Verlan with the way people said his name.

This place is excellent
Wife and I had a birthday weekend trip to Houston this past weekend. Went to dinner at Bludorn Friday night which was excellent. Hit up Tiny's Milk and Cookies for pastries Saturday morning. We then had lunch at Le Colonial which was very good. Got some cocktails at Anvil followed by dinner at Nobie's. Everything was great, we did not have one complaint about the food or drinks. Houston has so many options. Had a nightcap at Reserve 101 downtown as well.

I was there first weekend in June, 2002. What a beautiful, beautiful place to be as a 17 year old kid from Louisiana with a fake ID.

Let me guess. You stayed at the Chateau?
I use medium grain rice at a 1:1 ratio rice to liquid and it comes out fine. Put the stock in first then add the rice, stir it in, bring to boil reduce heat cover for 15 minutes then gentle stir again recover cook another 10-12 minutes until rice is done. I think you have too much liquid so rice keeps soaking it in and gets mushy.
