I wonder if it will have any sort of perceptible bitterness? I remember when ghost had bitterness. 11% is pretty high for such a soft beer style. It'll need some bite to keep it from coming across as an oatmeal flavored screwdriver. I'm curious, but more like 8 oz serving curious and not $25/4-pack curious.

I was actually interested, until i saw 11% ABV. Don't understand the alure of high ABV beers, especially IPA's.
1) I've never had a beer over 8% that wasn't boozey.
2) You usually have to let the beer mellow out a little over time, if it's that boozey. But being it's a high hopped beer, you can't really let it sit that long. I'm a 4-7% beer guy. Anything more and i'd rather just drink bourbon.
3) Parish prices...
And despite all of my bitching, they will sell out in record speed.

While only 9%, their Atticus Atlas was pretty disappointing.
I didn't even care much for the DDH GITM I had. The regular GITM is fine enough on its own, don't really see the point in fiddling with it.

IPAs, Porters, and Stouts are all Ales. And to be fair, the hardest beer, i find, to brew is a Hazy Pale Ale. Probably why there are so many shitty/meh ones around. It's hard to brew a good one, and retain both aroma and flavor without it becoming muddled. One of the earlier versions of ghost was super dank, but had a great orange/grapefruit flavor. Then i had Gnarly Barley Castle Made of Clouds, and it was similar to that one Ghost variant.

Just takes some training your palate. Long time ago, i hated IPA's. That's back when they were all bitter. I grew into them, and loved them. Then the game changed, and the brewers learned how to extract hop aroma/flavor, without all the bitterness.
And if you don't like shoe leather, then you probably aren't ready for Brett beers.

Pushing the envelope on pricing, eh. What about this beer justifies a to market price of $25. For real? Majority oat and clever hops? Get outta here.
