Fittzgerlald
1.5 oz gin
1 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz lemon juice
2 dashes angostura bitters
shake with ice and strain
by far my favorite gin cocktail, super refreshing … almost like an adult lemonade
Best with a Plymouth gold gin

It appears everyone loves the rose and cucumber taste of Hendricks.. which I do as well but I prefer London dry style more w heavy juniper and citrus. My favorite is Plymouth but very close second is Sipsmith. I like beefeater and Bombay sapphire as well. Besides G&T’s, I love negroni’s, gin w Topo(similar to gin Rickey), and brambles

I don’t typically drink Gin except for Negronis but we drink a lot of Negronis in our house. We typically rotate these Gins:
St George Botanivore
Plymouth
Murrels Row Gin Gin (local Atlanta gin)
Wonderbird n.61 (made from Mississippi Rice)
Hayman’s London dry

Honestly? Beefeaters for a G&T is pretty good.

I prefer that or similar when I make bloody marys.

Back when I was still drinking, I was a big gin fan. My favorites of the mass produced gins were Hendricks, Botanist and probably my favorite, Nolet.
Also liked to try lots of small batch or small producer gins. I liked that gins could vary greatly in flavor from producer to producer, so I liked to try them all.
I was always a fan of the classic gin martini (not dirty - drown in olive juice like everyone seems to do these days) or a good gin and tonic.

Beefeater Gin + Fever Tree light tonic with a squeeze of fresh lime.
On a summer afternoon/evening, that shite hits the spot.

I love my gin and tonics. Doesn’t matter the season to me. I prefer Damrak. Has a little peppery kick that I like.

That’s what we’ve been getting and I like it. I usually just mix with sprite and lime.

Tanqueray and tonic with a lime slice is far and away my favorite G&T.
If I'm having a martini, it's Beefeaters. Low ball on the rocks, dirty, splash of vermouth.

Gin is my favorite of all hard alcohols. My favorite cocktails are:
Gin & tonic (with lime)
Negroni
Gimlet
Some version of gin+St. Germain+club soda+lemon over ice
Gin also pairs well with muddled cucumber, basil, lemon, rosemary, and pretty much anything herbal. Very versatile like vodka, but just not as hidden in the drink. Fever Tree makes a good tonic and a "light" version (blue label) if you don't want too much sugar.
Hendricks is my favorite day to day, for sure. I used to like Sapphire, but it's too peppery or something.
For those who want to try it but don't love the bitterness, try Esme' (around $25 so won't break the bank). It's a French gin and very "light" for lack of a better word.

I used to drink gin exclusively, now I only do when the temp outside is above 70. But my go to was Gordon’s for a basic gin to mix with, and The Botanist for more gin heavy cocktails. The best tonic I found was Fever Tree Elderflower. So crisp and refreshing

Beefeater is probably a better choice since it is already lemony.
This is the correct way to drink a Beefeater G&T according to Beefeater. Drink it how you like it, but their own literature shows lemon or orange and discourages lime as a garnish.
