Anyone tried Dale’s steak sauce? I expect a half dozen posts saying that I don’t need steak sauce….hopefully someone has actually tried it and can share your opinion.

All of Dale’s stuff is way too salty

Salt with a side of soy salt.

Run away... just don't look back upon it.

The marinade is much more popular, it’s really salty. IDK about the sauce.

I like it. Treat yourself to a bottle and decide for yourself.

I've only had the marinade and it was just ok but kinda salty.

I put that shite on everything

“Kind of salty” would be an improvement. I was concerned I was going to have a stroke right at the table after taking a few bites of a piece of meat marinated in that stuff. I can’t imagine the steak sauce is significantly less salty

Grew up on it. Still love it every once in a while

If I cook A steak that calls for steak sauce it’s because I want A1

I took a chance and did just that. I liked it too. I would describe it as a kicked up version of A1. I like A1, so I was hoping it would be similar. Dale’s uses the same basic sauce, but it is a little thicker and spicier. The thing that I likes]d about it was they seem to have found a way to add the umami component of soy sauce without adding all of that salt.
I’ve found my new favorite steak sauce!

Dale’s is great on burgers and questionable steaks. For a good steak it’s still a decent addition but less effective.

If I reach for steak sauce it’s the British cousin HP.

Dale's, and Moore's, are both very salty versions of a soy-like sauce. It's Ok to mix a little in with with some ground beef for burgers or in a meatloaf, but we really don't use either any more.

Mix it with Italian dressing and marinade chicken with it. 70/30 Italian to Dale's.
If you use regular Dale's as salt instead of a marinade, you will get WAY better results.

Has anyone mentioned the high salt content?

Never used the steak sauce, but use the marinade for duck breast/poppers. Sparingly.
