I don’t think Fields’ food deserves that price point, but I think they wanted to come in higher than anyone else to get the clientele they wanted. It’s worked so far, they had good business last night.

Fields has been packed the few times I went. This was closer to when they opened

They’re a popular restaurant family on the MS coast. It’s a beautiful space too, unfortunate that Old Cuevas Bistro couldn’t recreate the magic there.

We likely would have dined there last weekend if they had been open, glad I didn't. Oxlot was great, but extremely noisy even half full, those tile floors are killers. N.O. Food & Spirits was incredibly good, incredibly low prices, one of my best dining experiences.
I can't help but think this is some stunt to get her place burned down, no one is this stupid. I'll never eat at a place associated with her again, I'd feel like my money goes right to antifa.

No stunt, she is just that stupid. Known of her since High School and she does stupid things and this is not the first time she has posted or spewed her distain for people who think differently.

Since we are on this subject. I saw online today that one of the brothers (Jeffery) of MoPho/ Maypop is popping off about the same thing and calling people ignorant and Nazi’s for not agreeing with him. I won’t be dining at his restaurant either.
Business owners really need to keep their mouth shut.

If you have a screen shot of them and it’s as bad as you are saying, share it please.

You aren’t out of pearls to clutch? Jesus Christ

I may clutch pearls, but you shove yours up your arse.

I feel bad for her staff, they will be lonely, I hope they have moved on, maybe get to work with a sane person.

That place already stupidly overpriced compared to what you get. If I'm spending that much on a meal, I'm going to Dakota instead.

How is that place these days?
I remember taking my wife there for an anniversary dinner a long arse time ago. It was good, but that was the meal that I learned the lesson about asking how much a special was before ordering it.

Anyone planning to go to Del Porto Soon?
Yes LOL
So you're the one going over to burn it
Guess you'd be doing her a favor, she's being torched on Yelp.com right now, it's glorious

I find it idiotic, that someone in the restaurant business would...
...Make it their business, to say anything about other peoples business and stay in business. Bottom line, I eat at your establishment because you can provide me sustenance.
I don't want a side of politics.

I think she was completely idiotic for saying what she said, and if her business suffers then that is the price she will pay.
But the people going on Yelp leaving negative reviews simply to call her out and ruin her are no better than the people who do the exact same thing when a business chooses to support an issue on the other side of the aisle. Which is a practice quite often condemned on this site.

Dude stop. This woman deserves any and all evil that comes her way. It's not just about people being upset with someone for having a different political view or something like that. Hell I wouldn't be able to go to half the bars and restaurants in Nola if I were to be thin skinned about stuff like that.
The only place I will refuse to go is Courtyard Brewery. Not just because he has a stupid arse California liberal view, but he acted like a total arse all over social media over and over.

Then don’t go. And I support that. Hell, if I had to go to Covington I’d be sure to not to eat there either. God willing it won’t come to that.
But people blasting 1 star reviews when their only reason is political isn’t the right way to handle this. And you know damn good and well if an owner of a business blasted Trump on Facebook and “libtards” took to Yelp to blast them, people here would call them “pussies” and “snowflakes” and complain about “cancel culture.”
I’m not taking a political stance, I’m just saying let’s practice what we preach.
