Maybe Weskarl can chime in. He actually owns 2 breweries and just doesn’t tell anyone.

I helped open and worked at the South Lamar location until I moved up here

Super successful business model. It was actually based on Pizza Port in San Diego.

I always suspected this but have never read confirmation.

Two of the owners live there and that's how they got the idea, but they put a lot of work into giving it a TX spin and identity and putting together an amazing brew crew. Joe Mohrfeld is incredible at what he does, as are the rest of the guys. They managed to make the Electric Jellyfish which is truly something special.

that's the important part. Pizza Port makes good pizza but they make fantastic beer. Really happy to see how well they are doing with it. We were able to meet some of them when we had family visiting from SD that knows them. Good people.

I remember going to the Burnet location when it was first opened and was not impressed with anything about the place. But they have come a long way in their brewing and pizza making. I'm still not jazzed about the generic interior design and atmosphere of the place but their beer keeps me happy.

There are actually two different brew crews, and the new RR location will have a separate one as well. I've always preferred the Lamar beers over Burnet, but 3 Burnet beers took home medals at CBC a few weeks back so maybe my palate is just fricked up

Save yourself some trouble, and just toss your money on a bonfire.
