well im willing to learn. Br is still a much less competitive market then places out west or in the northeast.
Go talk to some brewery owners and get some advice.

Then I advise that your friend do all that, and 5-10 years down the road, you design artwork to your heart's content.
This.
And your friend should try to work as many different sides as possible. Brewing, packaging, bartending, etc.

I would like to try bartending but could never get hired.

No, he wants to draw pictures for someone else's brewery. I think. I'm still confused.

I think everyone, including the OP, is confused.

I’m pretty sure OP is still in High School, and it sounds like it’s Belaire.

I wondered why I would take a perfectly good hobby and turn it into a job that makes no money.
You won't make any money until you sell your business to InBev.

What else is popular in the food world right now? Truffles?
If he has a friend that has a potted plant he could start a truffle farm.

Absolutely. If you can make good beer, you'll do well, IMO.
I think one of the problems I see is that a place relies on a cool atmosphere and not so much on brewing good beer. Eventually, people will stop coming, especially once competition starts opening up nearby. Be honest about your beers - you are biased, get opinions from people you can trust. Compare yours to other nearby breweries. Get on top and work to stay there. I've had beers from breweries that nobody I know likes, and the brewer swears his beers are the best in the city.

I have alot of ideas. Some of them are stupid, yes. But BR is an untapped market. have you been to other cities around the world? BR is meh and someone can take advantage of the holes

Honestly I like the way courtyard's model is.
Idk if they actually make profits but it seems like a fun business to own.
Make good beer, bring in National beer many locals will struggle to find, create a fun/unique venue. Seems you can avoid some of the hoops that way.

Funny you should mention Courtyard. Here's a long but interesting article about how long he worked to open it and how hard it was for him to get going. Would be good for the OP to read to get a small insight into what it takes.

I dont know how the business works. i have a friend who brews beer.
I'll make it real easy on you. Just write me a check for about $30K. You will come out ahead in that you won't lose as much money as you would have, and I'll pocket all of it. At least someone comes out ahead.
Oh, I also brew beer, so I will make you the promise that I will use some of your money to do just that.
