OP started the thread to shite on Texas Roadhouse but none of the true lovers and believers complied with that nonsense.
Proud of my OT brethen for being on the right side of history.

TRH is good honest food. Chicken fried steak, baked potato and okra is legit.

Texas Roadhouse is good for a chain. Gotta be careful cause if you eat all the free stuff it’s easy to eat a ton of calories there.
I remember there used to be a chain called “Texas Land and Cattle” that was similar. Idk what happened to that one, cause I don’t see it around when I travel.

If you go get a 6 oz filet with veggies. You could probably be like under 700 calories.
If you go wild it’s easy to hit 2 or 3 thousand calories.

I myself love Texas Roadhouse!
You live in the beautiful city of Elec? Every time I drive by, the TRH there always has people waiting outside to get in and a jammed full parking lot.

My parents Like it too, but what can I say, so do it. The one closest to me in is Pelham, just south of Hoover, and it’ll have close to an hour wait by 5:30. Always packed but helps if you use the wait list online and sign up there.

I prefer Longhorn on Ambassador Caffery. Prices are a little higher I believe ( not that much) but food is great and it’s never as crowded so has a better atmosphere as a result.
We like Texas Roadhouse too, haven’t been in a little while but go there pretty regular, always can count on a good rib-eye there. The only con is the huge crowd / wait on a weekend night.
We’ve been eating a lot of Mexican at El Paso’s in Youngsville lately - great weather for the outside patio and they usually have live music.
And it’s crawfish season so hitting up Crawfish Time or Cajun Claws on the weekend instead of the steak houses when we go out.

i have never seen one that isn't packed. Personally, i like it. Price vs quality of food. it is hard to beat.

If a restaurant that serves expensive entrees started serving Texas Roadhouse quality steak people would rave about it.
Posted on 4/21/23 at 5:15 pm to RoosterCogburn585
Because you get a decent meal at a decent price. I’ll pickup a steak kabob with 2 sides and 4 rolls at lunch for less than $20 and have enough food to eat all day. You can’t really beat that when it costs $12 to eat at fricking Burger King these days
