Has anyone tried the new Parish IPA?

It hasn't even been brewed yet. We're still a month and a half away from release.

It won't be hard to get if you go to the brewery.

I get that, just thought someone that works there might have tried it. The brewery is a few hours from here so it's not that easy to get to for me.

Gonna shelfturd. Like everything else. People aren't going to want to pay 18 bucks for Expedition Stout, THA will almost certainly be old when it gets here, and nobody is scrambling to buy stuff like their brown ale.

Not to say they don't make good beer. They do. But market realities.

If they keep the THA fresh, I'll keep buying

It'll be a month old at least when it arrives here.

Looking forward to some shelf turding Expedition though, that stuff is gold with a few years on

I've found that THA holds up very well, I'll add it to the Envie and Commo rotation
And if this new IPA is worthy add that one too

Willie's and Hooters in BR both have it. You almost can't find somewhere that doesn't have it these days. Including your friendly neighborhood bodega

Well shite, we can't be drinking any 4-6 week old beer now, can we?

I've never had any Two Hearted. Been wanting to try. But I figure if it really is worth its salt, it should hold up for 90 days.

It's worth its salt, but it is not the Wunderbeer some people make it out to be.

Are you serious? I must have the worst luck, then. Heard Chimes East had it, by the time I made it there, they were out. Heard Pelican House had it, gone. I'm gonna go check at Willie's though.. which pretty much means they'll sell out this afternoon.

You've been a little salty lately, dude. It's just beer. I know sometimes opinions can be extreme, but you have to be realistic -- IPAs shouldn't hit shelves a month old. And if they do, and assuming there are fresher options on the shelf...why would you buy the older one? Sure, I'd buy month old Heady Topper, or any of the northeast IPAs, over my normal purchases, but THA doesn't swing on that level. It's another solid IPA that you mix into the rotation based upon whatever is freshest. But we probably won't get it fresh. That's all anyone is saying.

I'll be visiting BR in two weeks from out of state. Will I be able to get ghost without going to the brewery, or should I just go for envie instead?

Please answer so I don't have to start another thread on this

1- Must be the Trump in me acting up.
2- Freshest Double Jack in Houston is May 2015.
3- My March batch of Ghost is still trapped in Lafayette.

You're good, my man

This is exactly what I'm talking about -- this is what happens. You get the first drop, and it's fresh. Then the second drop is a month old. Then you wind up with stuff that's a year old. It's hard to keep stuff flowing and fresh.

Prayers sent. Hope it's not too malty

For real, though, I gave half a case away. I wish you'd have hit me up, I'd rather give it to you than that shitlord List

We haven't heard of a new batch as of yet, so I doubt you'll see one in two weeks -- that's even at the brewery. Just buy Envie. But keep your eyes peeled sometimes new info comes to light without a lot of warning.
