Another Bud’s bites the dust?

According to google and word on the street Bud’s in Chalmette permanently closed. First Calhoun now Chalmette. Wonder why.

Sad, as a kid they were the best, as a young adult they were fantastic. Then somewhere sometime down the line I feel they changed their meat. Has not been the same since.

NO native who has never, ever understood the love for BB. 90% of the mom & pop places make a better burger. They used to consistently be the messiest places in town, at 1PM they used to look like Canal St. after the Elk's parade.

Because Bud's is not really good unless you're from NO and have grown up loving it.
Having Bud's the first time as an adult must be akin to stumbling upon a McDonald's as an adult never having had one of their burgers before. I just remember having Bud's the first (only) time and having to be diplomatic so as not to offend my friend who loves the place and brought me there.
To each his own, I guess.

The one across the street from Delgado is a pig sty. The building is antiquated and the only thing holding it together is the grease and dirt. I really don't know how that one is still open and not shut down by the Board of Health.

I love the LSU Buds though. I eat there almost once a week. Just too cheap, convenient, and good.

It's a freakin burger joint not fine dining. Get over yourselves. Bud's is good for what it is..I'll admit the fries suck...Happy?

The only way to enjoy BB is to order your food, take the order straight to the toilet, flush it, and cut out the middle man.

I've never had a problem with Bud's. I've been to the ones on Jefferson, Clearview, Vets, City park. Don't understand the hate. Can't beat the flavor of a charbroiled burger and it's cheap. Can't compare it to all the gourmet burger joints where you pay $15-20 for burger/fries/drink because it's like 1/2-1/3 the price.
They're obviously not the newest/cleanest looking places but you can't expect that from that type of place. You wouldn't walk into a diner like Camellia Grill or Mel's or Frostop and expect it to look like a 5-star restaurant.
