#18 Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, New Orleans
This French Quarter power broker staple is located in a clubby, basement-level space, and is a regular hangout for the city’s wheelers and dealers and high-rollers. With a swanky bar and six private dining rooms, Dickie Brennan’s serves USDA Prime steaks with a creative New Orleans twist; the six-ounce House Filet is topped with fried oysters and béarnaise sauce, the Barbecue Rib-Eye is topped with Abita beer barbecue shrimp, and any steak can be topped with jumbo lump crabmeat or Danish blue cheese. That’s not to say that you should avoid unadorned steaks; the 16-ounce strip is seared in a cast-iron skillet, and just might be New Orleans’ finest steak.

Why would you? You don't even eat meat.

But I like to know where the carnivores are. Helps me to sleep better.

Not a fan of DB personally

There are three better than DB in the city

Lots of transition going on at DB. New chefs and a new management team. Ate there recently and the service was spotty, but the food was incredible. I think things are looking better for their future. I plan to go back soon.

Best steak and dining experience I have had was just at Prime at Bellagio.

Who DOWN votes a subjective list of steak house rankings??? LOL
Hey, I'm sorry Outback wasn't on there, but down vote the whole post???
ETA: I just discovered that my mother was the culprit.

Several of those pictures don't have pictures of the meat. I want to see the good stuff, not what their sign looks like.

bone on filet with a very overpriced salad. I can never bring myself to order a wedge salad ever. It's not the price, it's the principle.

The Riverfront Steakhouse in NLR at #49 is laughable. I can think of 3 better steaks just in the Central AR area and the atmosphere is terrible.

I'm hoping to check out #12 Gibson's on my way home from class this week (the bar the guys always meet at on the League)

I can vouch for Pappa Bros in Houston.
My boss gave the best advice when going there, only go when expensing it.

Been to three...
Mr. B's
Dickie Brennan's (cowboy ribeye)
and Craftsteak (Foie Gras app, Kobe flat iron entree)
No mention of Vic and Anthony's?

Once again, Peter Luger punching far above its weight. Their PR team is the best in the business. The better NYC steak houses are listed far below it.

That's the problem with a Steakhouse list. It's probably the most corporate style of restaurants that impliments more PR schemes than most of the other styles of restaurants.

Thanks to work I've been to quite a few of these...Killen's, Craftsteak, Pappas, CUT, Carnevino, Cattleman's, Dickie Brennan's, SW, Prime, Alexander's, Keens
Killen's and CUT (Vegas location) are my 2 favorite of the list.
Pappas, Craftsteak, Carnevino, Prime, and Keens were all terrific
Cattleman's, SW, and Alexander's were good, but not great. Cattleman's shouldn't even be on this list IMO.
Vic And Anthony's should be on the list for the bone-in ribeye alone.

How do these compare to one another?
I chose Prime about a week and a half ago and thoroughly enjoyed it (see pictures in thread). I chose it for two reasons, one because it was right next to my hotel (Caesar's Palace) and two, they had a reservation when I wanted to eat (spur of the moment decision).
