McDonald's has confirmed that it will not be selling a healthy menu item as there is simply a lack of demand for them

The fat fricks have spoken.

quote:

McDonald's USA president Joe Erlinger has now made it clear that salads will not be making a comeback as consumers aren't fussed.

One thing ?that won't be returning ?to U.S. restaurants nationally is salads. The demand just isn't there,' Erlinger told the Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum in Chicago on Wednesday.

I get the sentiment of the thread, but McDonalds selling “healthy” food is an automatic loser for them because people don’t go there to eat healthy food.

I mean if I want a salad I’m not going to McDonald’s, Burger King or Cane’s etc.

If fatties want to eat McDonald’s everyday let them. Just thins the herd faster.

When I was in college I liked the Caesar salad with fried chicken in it, but I don't think they ever pretended that was a health food option.

Can they bring back the grease that they used to cook their fries in as well?
It was deemed to be unhealthy

I've never understood the whole fast food salad deal. I've always thought that if you were actively seeking some bug that would give you the drizzling shits, a McDonald's salad would be the first place to start.

My daughter loves their fries so I’d like to get a salad or some grilled chicken but none of them have those here.

“Healthy” fast food tastes like play doh. There’s a reason unhealthy food sells. Fat just plain tastes good. That’s why it’s the base ingredient in most meat sauces.

It thins the herd by first thickening the herd. Kind of a chicken and egg deal when you really think about it.

It’s because you don’t go to McDonalds for the salad, even if you are a healthy person. If I have a diet that allows 1 cheat meal a week I might decide to go to McDonald’s, But It’s for the Big Mac not whatever nasty salad they have.

I might’ve eaten a salad at McDs when I was in HS but not a chance I’d buy one there today. I’d be better off buying the salad bag at Kroger at that rate.

I am a little bummed they won’t bring the Egg White Delight McMuffin back. It was pretty solid.

On the off chance that I do decide I want McDonald's, why would I want something "healthy"? I want my Royale with Cheese, Fries, and a Sprite.

Why would you go to a hamburger joint and order a salad?
