I've never understood the whole fast food salad deal. I've always thought that if you were actively seeking some bug that would give you the drizzling shits, a McDonald's salad would be the first place to start.

It was for person in a group who was on a diet. A 4 man crew of laborers knocks off for lunch, they all go to McDonalds, but one guy is on a diet because he just got his cholesterol numbers back from the Dr. He should ideally be packing his own lunch but maybe he doesn't have a sandwich maker at home.

I am a little bummed they won’t bring the Egg White Delight McMuffin back. It was pretty solid.

Even the regular egg McMuffin can be eaten guilt-free, as long as you don't double up on the hash browns and drink a large coke with it.

I’ve known one person that would drive through McDs and get a salad. And she was a bit ‘off.’

The Southwest grilled chicken salad was money

We can walk to one from my house and when the kids were little we’d walk over and let them play and have lunch. The salad was good and under 500 calories with dressing

I get the sentiment of the thread, but McDonalds selling “healthy” food is an automatic loser for them because people don’t go there to eat healthy food.

Yup. I get the underlying logic of attempting to rebrand a bit, but people who care about what they're eating aren't going to McDonald's. There are simply too many other options that are just as fast and just as "cheap". If someone is going to McDonald's, it's because they have decided to put McDonald's food in their face. Don't try to complicate it from there.

Their Southwestern salad was actually pretty damn good. But yeah, they make a ton more on their burgers. They have the right to put whatever they want on the menu.

I always figured it was an option for the parents when they took their kids to get the toys in the kids meals.

That is what my mom used to get

Didn't they have trouble preventing salmonella from that nasty arse lettuce they sold in those salads.

I agree here. Salad from McDonald's was one of the nastiest things I've ever eaten.
