Will you accept interesting trade proposals in lieu of cash?

If someone divvies up a bottle of Pappy and sells the sample pours, are those tater tots?

I've had the conversation with my friends where we try and ballpark how much we've spent on booze in our lives, and it's always in the 10s to 100s of thousands. And then we ask if anyone would take the money to give back all those times and memories, and the answer is always "frick no"

2017 bottle of Pappy Van Winkle[15]

Exact same vintage sold in ATL this morning for 1600. National market will get you and extra 2-300 but you take the shipping risk which is all on the seller.

I just can’t justify opening it. I have a nice collection of bourbon. Would rather sell it to someone that will enjoy it. I have a bottle that’s open that I rarely drink. It was given to me as a gift. I would never buy it. Weller 12, I’ll drink all day.

Do you really need the money? Why not hold onto it? Save it for a really special occasion
