Typical. Our generation is getting double fricked by Boomers and Millennials.
But JD Vance is GenX.

I don't know if many of us actually care about this.

JD Vance is so damn good. I think Trump unlocked some fierceness in him

Gonna be hard to beat in the primary the charismatic VP incumbent of a highly successful administration that Vance will be in 4 years

I don't know what all of the "official" requirements are to qualify for being part of whatever named generation, but I have always considered millennials to be people born in the early 90's. And that is because I go by behavior. I don't see a notable difference between people born in the beginning or end of the 80's. Upbringing and cultural influences are largely the same. But things seemed to shift, at least from my perspective, rather dramatically with kids born just a few years later. I'm of the age where I'm considered a millennial, but I was born in the late 80's. I can't tell you how many people I know who are just about 5 years younger than me, who act nothing like the people my age who I grew up with.
I guess some of us grew our brains just before the internet blew up and destroyed our ability to think for ourselves. Not that everyone thinks for themselves, but I notice a difference.

If you would quit falling for old guys (Trump excepted). I messaged my son this morning (he's 35) and said 2028 is the year for his generation.

I'm a Millennial about the same age as JD and I was not "too young" for Nirvana
The frick kind of comment is that?
*ETA: I ordered In Utero via BMG cassette offer, in fact. It doesn't get more Millennial than that

Yeah, when you are a small generation sitting between the 2 largest generations, we tend to miss out on such things.
We've been too busy with the tech revolution and building our own wealth while suffering through tech crash, crash of 2008-9, Nobama and his politics, COVID and the Crash of 2020. We've been in survival mode while our Boomer parents shite away the country.

I'm 49, firmly a Gen X.
frick it. We're used to being quiet, making shite happen and not crying about it.

I agree. There’s considerable overlap in the generational lexicon, who’s in and who’s out based on birth date and as you said, behavior and typical mindset. Not sure who chose the years that the generations start and end. I was just using the generally accepted parameters.

I understand, and wasn't directing any disagreement at you. Just opining on the overall accepted parameters that you referenced.
