I thought that up until Dr Jill wore all red yesterday. Any dem politician wife knows to wear blue on voting days. That was a big FU to Kamala, they won't let her be POTUS for pushing Joe out. Harris would have to invoke the 25th which know would seem like it is just a power grab.

Pretty sure that the Bidens (or at least Jill) are pretty pissed that Joe got pushed out of the race by his own party and effectively usurped by Kamala. Probably even more pissed this morning since they forced Joe out because he supposedly couldn't win and was going to tank the down ballot Dems.....only to see Kamala under-perform bigly compared to Joe in 2020 and the GOP flip the senate.
Jill isn't going to let Joe step aside and give Kamala the consolation prize of being able to say she was the 1st female president.

But let's play the what if game. Who would then become VP? Would there be a consensus and go for John McCaini (who is, as we know deceased, but did that ever stop someone from being elected?

Joe ain't doing that. They bullied his senile arse out of the race, but he's going to cling to the Oval Office with every ounce of his being until he has to go. Even if they have to pull a Weekend at Bernies act for the next two months.

Nope. If it isn't obvious by now, Biden and "Dr." Jill absolutely despise Harris for her complicity in running Joe out of the campaign on a rail. There's no way he will step down and allow her the distinction of "first female president*" even temporarily.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bidens never again speak to Harris. There's gotta be some very serious animosity there.
