No, I simply look at the success of the average nuclear black family from Reconstruction through the diaspora to manufacturing cities, and then how this ever increasing success comes to a screeching halt with the "War on Poverty."

Are we talking about the Old World? The vast, vast majority of it wasn't touched by the Europeans until the late 19th century. Most of Africa has been independent nearly as long as they were under the yoke at this point.
