...how will it rank compared to 1998 UCLA, 1998 Kansas State, 2007 West Virginia, and 2011 Oklahoma State in all-time CFB heartbreak?

AAC gets a huge financial windfall if cincy makes the CFP.

The only way Houston wins is huge. Refs won’t let it be close.

i think burrow is probably as good as he will ever be now. we have just begun the ascent of herbert as an nfl qb.

Since LSU was out of it in August I've been rooting for chaos and Cincy all year. But TBH, now my top "want" is for ND to make it into the playoffs. Ideally ND and Cincy

I like that this is unrelated to the OP and also trollingly wrong. I give you props for this one.

I don’t think anyone could ever beat 2007 West Virginia. You have the national title in your hands and all you have to do is beat your rival, at home and they have already been eliminated from bowl eligibility. That Pitt team was HORRIBLE

It’s the greatest choke job I can think of in my lifetime

Aside for the slight admittance that Burrow is "good", I would have sworn this was TRC returning from Banland.

Nope. That was the most soul crushing loss any college football program has ever had.

Yeah, it doesn't get worse than that. Archrival, bad team, with everything on the line.

At least KSU and UCLA lost to decent teams. Why in the world was UCLA playing AT Miami in the last week of the season anyway?

2011 OSU was pretty bad, but not the LAST game of the year. They still had OU, which they won, but still don't know what would have happened with all the pressure

People forget that #1 Missouri lost the same day, and didn't even get a BCS bowl game.

Don't know why it was the last game, but that was back when you needed to schedule those big games to boost the computer scores. Now it's just don't schedule a bunch of FCS schools and win your conference with 1 or 0 losses

It's because their loss wasn't surprising at all. Oklahoma was favored to beat them by almost 10 points.

That WVU loss forever altered the course of the program. They've never recovered. They would have bitch slapped Ohio State to win the title, RichRod would have stayed, and I believe they would have gotten Terrelle Pryor to step in for Pat White after White graduated.

Where does TCU rank in this? They were #4, WON, and then got voted out only to beat the shite out of Ole Miss in their bowl game.

Agreed. The conferences stand to benefit too much. That’s why I got my money on Michigan, OSU and Cincy

Baylor got screwed more than TCU did that year.

For the downvoters, Baylor beat TCU and won the conference. It is absolutely fricking disgraceful how dismissive people are of head to head results.

It won't blip the radar. If UGA loses and 2-5 win on Saturday, they'll have more heartache when they get bumped out of top 4 for 3 x P5 champs plus 1 loss UGA

I may be wrong, since it was so long ago, but I think it was rescheduled due to a hurricane.
