That would be pretty great, in my view.

Was just told by an LSU sauce... Said the deal is done, should be announced this weekend, and that "LSU fans would be extremely happy with the hire."

This has already been reported here.

This is pure speculation. Change your title.

Although I don't believe it, I could see this being successful until Herman leaves for a head job

Nobody wants to say it but I will.

Dave Aranda would be Woodard's way of hiring "Joe Brady Offense".

Not that Dave isn't a good coach in the right role but that one year will haunt this university for two decades if this turns out to be the hire.

So he is saying that a deal is done and should be announced this weekend. If this coach is in the Big XII title game they will not announce the week before that he is leaving for another job.

We weren't exactly bad with the other guy.

I find it honestly hilarious how of all the possible coaches in America, a segment of our fanbase believes the best we can do is our former DC that had declining results (look them up) and only a head coach of two years.

I don't even know why we bother any more at this point.

If it weren’t for Aranda, LSU isn’t set up for 2019. He was clearly the glue guy that kept this team going.

Brady clearly benefited from having 5 Top 60 picks on offense.

I'm hearing that LSU ordered a #2 combo meal with Saban/Smart 500 million dollars over 30 years.

Absolutely disagree. You had more leadership on that team than you give then credit for.

Aranda did fine as an associate head coach but if you think this is "bringing back the Magic" of 2019 then we're absolutely doomed.

More importantly, if Administration believes this...we're doomed.

This is like your dad giving you $100 as a kid to go to Walmart and you coming back with some Jacks and a dreidel, handing him back the change telling him "its a smart choice. Everybody loves Jacks and Dreidels."

Completely agree with this. LSU used to have alphas that would police the team for the coaches and you don’t see any of that now.

I’m not trying to bring back the magic. I just want a coach that will solidify one side of the ball and there won’t be this constant rotations of coordinators. I’d much rather have an offensive head coach based off the potential shown in 2019. I know that can’t ever be replicated, but too often LSU teams have won with no identity. I just want that to change.
