He will help stabilize the program which it is in dire need of. He is also the best candidate (my opinion only) to manage the new world of NIL. I also think he will do a better job managing early departures. His analysis is something the players can use as a guide as if they are draftable players and what needs to improve their status if they stay.

It will be great to have a football program run by logic and not emotion.

1. He kept the team stable 2016-2018 at least.
2. Great defensive mind.
3. Bald Brotherhood

He's extremely organized

He's a work o haulic

He's very intelligent

He has a very solid character which I would hope could attract some very good athletes to LSU who also have solid characters.

He's humble enough to know and admit his weaknesses which allows him to fill those voids with coaches who are strong in those areas, unlike O who is suspect of and threatened by anyone who he thinks may know more than him.

He consistently fields some of the best defenses in college football.

He knows how to read a play book.

If he were to end up keeping Daronte on board, just think how much better he would get under Aranda's wing.

Could you imagine our last 2 coaches even knowing about the tiebreaker rules.

His professional demeanor and attention to detail would be a welcome change from the last 2 characters.

Also i think having a defensive minded coach would work well in a league dominated by offensive minds. Zig when everyone else is zagging. And i think its easier to find a competent OC than DC. Grimes, Briles, Herman, etc would likely be obtainable with Aranda. Dan Mullin might even be an option after this year.

Honestly, the more i think about it, Aranda is becoming my #1 choice. No lower than #2-#3 if Riley or somebody like that was interested.

god that would be glorious

This would be great and a awesome bonus. But Aranda is a great candidate because we would always have a capable defense. He appears to have little no ego and would quickly see and fix problems in his program before they became a issue. Other than long term HC experience I see no down side to Aranda being LSU's head coach.

He is the only defensive coach I would trust to make good OC hires.

I just don't see how we can't be a perennial playoff team with Aranda at HC and someone like Tom Herman at OC.
Herman is an analyst right now. He's already failed as a HC at a big program, and if you pay him well and he's known as basically the coach of the offense, you could keep him for a long time.

I wasn’t really into having Aranda ss the HC but I did not realize he in two years is held oh you and Lincoln Riley to their lowest points tota in a game ever

Let’s just say if he can recruit I would be 110% behind it he hits every other check mark in the head coach box

Our wants have nothing to do with the hire. And it will not be Aranda. At best he is a second level coach.

His recruiting classes should alarm anyone. #41 last year and #32 this year.

As I have said before I know an offer has been extended to a coach and Woodward is waiting for a reply. How long he will wait only he and coach knows.

I will not reveal who my source is but SHE called Mulkey a week before she was announced. She did miss on the baseball hire. She said it was Tom Corbin..so she may not be right all the time because only Woodward knows everything.

But...he is NOT evaluating any coach on a week to week basis. He knew who he wanted when he let "O" go with no public argument over the buyout. He knows who he wants.
He will not hire an unproven coach with record around .500 it simply will not happen.
So unless something totally unseen occurs it will not be Napier, Aranda, Tucker or Kiffin.

This my last post on this subject until the coach is hired.
#1) Riley
#2) Dabo
#3) Jimbo

Now...Flame Away!
