First of all, is this quantum leap?
Second, figuratively taking medals away from someone doesn’t solve any problems.

Yeah, and revoking medals is going to make a difference.
Have you ever been on a reservation? They don't need medals awarded to white men a hundred years ago revoked. That's not for them, it's sole purpose is to make white liberal retards feel virtuous while they do nothing about the real issues.

You are correct; it's a stain on our history.
But what, exactly, does it accomplish? All of those people are long dead?
Why not, instead, don't we build a memorial at the site, and educate people on the hazards of investing so much trust in fallible government? I'm not in favor of whitewashing what happened, nor do I advocate the total destruction of our Constitution. However, this terrible episode in our history is a good example of why it's necessary for our media and our government have to be honest and held accountable.

I disagree. I do t think there is such a thing as a “stain” on any history. History is what it is. Actions like this have no impact at all on what happened. To borrow a phrase, “what happened, happened.” Yes- you recognize an atrocity for what it is. Then you create new systems, processes, laws, etc to prevent it from happening again. And then you make damn sure that it is memorialized so it is t repeated. And yes, I chose the word memorialized purposefully. It simply means to document something. The word doesn’t mean we celebrate it.
Let’s spend time and energy dealing with real world problems and forget all the symbolic hand wringing and gestures that don’t do anything except cost money.

Chief Ward Churchill agrees with this.

No, it's not.
They were not a "peaceful people".
Rarely are movies truthful. This scene from Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee is the truest 2:24 seconds ever filmed.

The Democrat Party continues digging up graves to find people they can win an argument with.
Or vote for them. The Democrat Party is the party of corruption and vindictiveness. Always has been, always will be.

Before today I had no idea anyone received a Medal of Honor from their actions at Wounded Knee. Who was sitting around talking about this 120 years later?
