Napier is the right choice. He is a young Saban.

If LSU doesn't get him, they are going to regret it big time when he is knocking it out of the park at Bama.

You must be an all-knowing wizard. Why is he a young Saban? Please enlighten us.

What has he done to be deemed the next Saban? Im genuinely curious what gives anyone that impression. He was fired after one season as an OC at Clemson and it took him almost a decade to get another chance at it. Then he was hired to ULL and is winning in the Sunbelt. What about that is so impressive?

I don't want a young Saban.

I want a guy with old Saban's knowledge.

Besides young Saban, in Tigerdroppings terminology, was quite mediocre.

It took LSU to make the Saban we know today.

This. I'm not getting the Napier pick either. I get that he's a good coach and winning games, but the teams he's beating (in general) aren't P5 caliber (sunbelt). He's only played 5 teams that were P5 in his tenure and he lost to 4 of them. I understand that he's playing with sunbelt players and not SEC players (and consequently is at a severe disadvantage) but what evidence is there that he can actually be successful at the next level as an SEC head coach? It's awfully hit or miss for coaches coming up from non P5 teams. Why should we expect more from Napier? I don't see it. Help me understand.

Why do people say this so much?

Napier will be the next Napier
Aranda will be the next Aranda
Etc…..

People need to realize a lot of Sabans success is because of his research team and analysts.

Saban's are few and far between. I think what he's trying to say is, BN is modeling his program much similar to Saban's at Bama. It seems to be working for him at ULL. He may be the next big thing and then again, who knows?

And there is my answer... I get two down votes for asking a question, for asking why I should think Napier capable of doing the job.

Apparently this is something that one is not supposed to question. If that's the case, then the Napier fans already know that it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Thanks for your response.

False

What’s false about it? He was there as a tight ends coach or something, promoted to OC and fired by Dabo after one season at that position. So, how is it false?
