You don’t know anything.

I know your mom sucks a mean dick.
ATM can offer him any amount LSU can offer him. He’s already averaging $9.5 million there. If they have to bump him another $500k, they’ll do it. Hell, if they have to bump him another $2.5 million they’ll do it. They cannot afford the PR nightmare or the hit to their program of losing a head coach to us. They will not let it happen.

You also forget, there’s no state income tax in Texas. They can pay 6% less than whatever we offer.
I can tell you with certainty, based on my own conversations with people who personally know Jimbo, that he is not leaving ATM. He is not even part of the conversation at this point. He is, however, perfectly happy to let the media continue to talk about it while he quietly goes about putting together what will probably be the best recruiting class ATM has ever signed.

I would love to have Jimbo at LSU because taking him would decimate ATM for the foreseeable future, but it’s not happening. You can stop discussing it. I know what Bruce Feldman is saying. He’s just screwing with Aggies. The Jimbo ship has sailed.
You’re half right.

I think he did quite a bit of diligence and tree-shaking early in the season and before the season. Now he is just waiting. When the regular season concludes, offer(s) will be made, and there will be some concrete information start to leak out.
That’s the great thing about Urban. You can guarantee him 10 years, but you’ll never have to pay it. He will have a championship roster by year 3, then win a natty, self-destruct, and resign by year 6.

Seriously though. 10 or even 12 million probably isn’t getting Saban or Jimbo. I do think Dabo is in play though.
In fairness, ATM was not built to even sniff competing for a championship until last year, sort of. Maybe this year if they didn’t lose their QB. Jimbo had to completely remake that roster because Sumlin routinely got the shite kicked out of him by us, Bama, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn on the recruiting trail.

But none of this is relevant. I know people in Houston who know Fisher personally. He’s not coming here just to work with Woodward, which is the only concrete thing we can offer him that ATM can’t. Feldman is a slapdick who is throwing shite against the wall.
Bruce Feldman knows jack shite about this situation. Woodward is not going to rehash things with Jimbo, again.

When is the last time

that a national championship-winning head coach, with more talent on his roster than pretty much every other team he played, had a strangely bad season of losing to some dog shite teams right before he jumped ship to go to an SEC school?

What program is currently experiencing something similar this season?

Yes, I heard something. That’s all I’m saying. I realize I’m new here, but I am a very well-connected lawyer in Houston. Believe me or not. I don’t care.

He's a damn good coach. Now that NIL is legal, he can probably conduct his shenanigans legally without bringing down the wrath of the NCAA. Not that the NCAA can do anything to anyone anymore anyway.
Dude, that is delusion, or maybe hyper-cynicism is the better word. Dabo is a top 5 coach and recruiter in college football, period. Is he a little weird? Yeah. But he is great at what he does. Not good, great. He would be a home run hire.
This account isn't "shared" with anyone. Direct me to whatever it is you're talking about, you chode.
He's really good friends with the AD. He probably gets a chance to revamp with new coordinators, although he might jump to the NFL. I seriously doubt he'll be fired.
When Texas eventually makes it back (and they will), it will have a catastrophic effect on ATM's recruiting, just as it always has.
I agree that Fisher is not coming here and have stated my reasons in this thread. But Fisher would absolutely have an easier time recruiting at LSU than he does at ATM. There are more D1 prospects in Texas to be sure, but there is WAY more competition. Jimbo at ATM has to fend off Texas and OU, two massive brands, for every single elite in-state prospect. Not to mention that Texas is constantly getting raided by LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, FLorida, Clemson, Oregon, and many many others, and also not to mention the fact that there are several other power 5 programs in the state that pick off a good player here and there. I will concede that right now Fisher is kicking the shite out of Texas because they are tripping over their arrogant dicks with bad hires, and he has also out-recruited OU the last three years. But even with that going for him and with the smoking dumpster fire we have in BR, he's still not out-recruiting LSU. At best it's a push. Fisher at LSU would put a hard lock down on the state of Louisiana.
My understanding is that it's the opposite. They probably aren't best buddies, but he gets along fine with them, and they stay out of his way and give him whatever he wants.
I get the buyout talking point, but when is the last time a buyout stopped a school from hiring a coach? Dabo's $45 million buyout or whatever for Alabama is basically one of a kind. No other good coach with leverage has a buyout like that. I don't know why Dabo even agreed to it in the first place. It's not like Clemson was going to let him go over it.

The real buyout for Fisher is that he has $95 million guaranteed through 2030 or something very close to that. Woodward could probably offer him $100 million through 2029, but ATM would match that, and they are giving him basically unlimited funding for facilities and assistants and I read yesterday they are giving a bunch of money to his charity for kids that have the same illness as his son.

I think Fisher would recruit lights out and win a championship or multiple championships at LSU, but nothing is guaranteed and there is always some amount of risk when you make a change. Ultimately it comes down whether Fisher is going to abandon a situation where he has it made, without getting a raise, just to work with his buddy Woodward again. I don't think he will do that. In fact, I suspect the overture was already made by Woodward, and that's why Fisher got a raise and extension right before the season.

The longhorn special teams coach Jeff Banks (who came from Bama and was at AtM before that) is apparently now married to a stripper who is stage named “Pole Assassin,” and her stage routine involves pole dancing with a real monkey that she owns as a pet. My understanding is that Banks abandoned his wife and 3 kids to be with the stripper at some point while he was in Tuscaloosa or College Station. My Aggie friends have been laughing about this and trying to get it mentioned by national outlets since January. it sounds like last night the stripper’s monkey bit the shite out of some poor kid’s hand during a haunted house that the stripper and Jeff Banks put together, and it’s all over Twitter. The stripper, who is barely literate, admitted to it on Twitter and went on an epic rant before deleting her Twitter account.
