he won a natty at LSU as a OC. had record breaking offenses in 01, 03. won multiple conference titles at LSU and FSU. got 4 QB's to be first rounders in draft. made playoffs year after winning natty at FSU. finished 4th last year at TAMU.

And he’s still running that same offense today. This is why he’ll lose 1 or 2 games a year that he shouldn’t. He is a slightly better version of Les. No thank you

Well that is just not true. The athletic dept is to blame for Florida states current situation. He tried to get them to make improvements the program needed and the dept wouldn’t listen to him, all while his wife was sleeping around tally. So he went for a fresh start elsewhere.

We are hiring a coach whose only NC was because he had an incredible talent at QB, and who has been fair to middling the rest of the time and who let his NC program crumble.

Aren't we firing a coach like that?

Is Jameis really an “incredible talent”? And Jimbo’s been to the CFP, should’ve went last year. Jimbo has by far the best resumé of any of the candidates.

Uh..yes. He was transcendent as a RS Frosh at FSU

Led his team to a title and won the Heisman

People really need to do their research on this, and don't read espn or bleacher report with their lazy arse articles that regurgitate the same shite with lazy arse reporting...

Jimbo made demands to upgrade FSU's facilities that ranked dead last of power 5 schools when he took over and FSU admin and boosters reluctantly agreed, but still lagged behind the demands to pay assistants top money to keep them...

When it came to the players and grades, the coaches can only do so much to make sure the players stay eligible, the players need to take responsibility but so does the admin in making sure the players are doing their part which again FSU was not all in in the investment of their players...

Ask yourself...is the same problems that plagued Jimbo at FSU happening at A&M? No...why? Because A&M is all in on the investment of their football team...

Look at FSU now...has things really improved that much? No...why? Because Jimbo was not the complete problem there...

There is a reason Jimbo has always wanted LSU head coaching job when he arrived with Saban...he saw the samething Saban did with LSU...keep the state lockdown and you will have the players you need to build a consistent winning program with no competition from any other state schools...

Jimbo turned around FSU and took it to the NC after it was in decline with Bowden...

Jimbo has turned around A&M from the direction Sumlin had it going with building its trenches up and say what you want about Mond, he had solid stats, he just made bad decisions at the wrong time...

We are at that point now, Jimbo is not going to the playoffs so a few days after the LSU game Jimbo could be announced as the new head coach and get to work in saving that high touted '22 class and right the ship...

Jimbo's history at play calling and developing QBs speaks for itself if you take the time to see the number of QBs under his wing from his days at Auburn till now and what they accomplished...

I was not on board at first for Jimbo, but I would have no problem with him being named the next head coach...

Yup. Winning titles and making the playoffs are not occurring at TAMU.

People wonder why LSU has rarely lived up to the potential of the program.......... Well hiring Jimbo Fisher will answer that question. We have a history of making really dumb coaching decisions and hiring Fisher would be one of the dumbest.

I love how Ponder and Manuel being 1st round picks is some big feather in his cap as a head coach. Hey, we need a guy who can fool an NFL team into drafting his college qb that threw 20 TDs and lost 4 games a year. Very Les Miles, come here and don't win shite then go to the NFL mentality.

It's like the "well the last 2 idiots here won a NC" argument. Well then why do we need to hire the most expensive HC in CFB?

Yeah he was fantastic in college and drafted #1 but has done little since going to the NFL. Add that to Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel, and Kellen Mond of guys who got drafted waaaaay higher than they ever should have.

Not exactly as easy to do when you are in the SEC compared to the ACC would you agree? I already know the correct answer...

Not exactly as easy to do when you take over a team that needs rebuilding on both sides of the ball in to the toughest division in college football and dealing with LSU, Auburn and Bama yet he's finished second in the west twice...yes he finished 4th in west in 2019 but the losses were to #1 Clemson, #8 Auburn, #1 Bama, #4 Georgia and #2 LSU at the time...

Last year their only loss was to Bama and had a legit argument in being the 4th seed in the playoffs, not Notre Dame or Ohio State who only played 7 games...

If he stays at TAMU he will have them in the playoffs...if he comes here he will have LSU back in the playoffs...

With a good QB, he’s one of the best offensive coaches in the last 20 years. Look what he did with Jamarcus on 05-06 (even with Les meddling in the offense).

He has struggled with recruiting high quality QB’s.

Jimbo is as good as anybody else on the list. He’s won at a high level and would win multiple titles at LSU.

So what you’re saying is Jimbo is a good offensive coach provided he has a worldly talented QB? No shite huh?
