frick Patrick Spikes for missing that chip shot field goal in the quarters against St James

at one of the crappy apartment complexes. Wasn't that bad. Just kind of like the neutral ground hanger outers in Nola.

I lived in Mansfield, La. from 1973 to ‘78. Both my sons were born in Shreveport but we lived in Mansfield where I worked for a big timber Co.
I do know that a story was told by several old guys that swore it was true that one of the most prominent people in town had killed a former black employee of his and was never prosecuted.
He got mad at said employee, fired him and told him to get out of town and never come back.
Saw him on the street a few days later and blew him away. Guy wasn’t doing anything wrong but nothing was ever done.
It seemed to be true as the people that told it had lived there all there lives and it had happened like 15 years before I moved there. Heard it from at least 4 long time residents.

$1.99 for a 32oz can.
So a gallon of beer for about $9.86 and free lap dances with a good shot of taking one home. What's not to like?

Vida Blue hailed from Mansfield.
He never claimed it. He said he was from Shreveport.

Besides Vida Blue y'all mentioned, M. C. Reynolds was a QB at LSU who played for five years in the NFL.
There were a handful of others from there who played professionally.
M C Reynolds was a cashier at the local convenience store. Really nice guy.
Orlando Woolridge was an NBA great. Albert Lewis was the best punt blocker in the NFL.
. . . But it’s still a total shithole!

Fun fact: Mansfield has the only coal mine in Louisiana.
There’s a newer coal mine north of Creston.

Demographics are close to Ferriday. I drove through around midnight last night and the gas station at the corner of 171/84 had 50 cars in the parking lot and looked like this.
Kind of late for them to be out. They're likely going to be late for work in the morning.
