When I was a kid I thought being rich meant you could eat at McDonald’s or Burger King any time you wanted.

The kids whose parents bought them new cars to drive to high school. Little did I know we were better off than most of them but my dad didn't go for that nonsense.

I got hand-me-down clothes from my cousin growing up so I just thought it would be just being able to have clothes meant for you

Not living in a trailer park, getting a haircut at the barber, buying a yearbook and going out to eat.

Water and ice in the door

Vacations to places other than Gatlinburg, Gulf Shores, Galveston, and Disney World

Owning Ski gear

Current video game consoles

wearing new clothes that were in style (i.e. not hand-me-downs)

boat larger than a john boat

owning a "vacation home" that wasn't just a crappy trailer in the Mississippi woods

convertable sports car

Having a pool... But after working on them during college, now I just know people that own them are idiots... Or maybe they're just rich and don't care about their money

As a little kid it meant having a Lamborghini.
As an adult. Pretty much the same.

Friends mom drove a Lexus. Also my sisters “rich” friend had clothes from banana republic.

I thought that they were super rich, but now I’m on my 3rd Lexus in the last 6 years or so and I don’t consider myself to be particularly rich.
