Oh my gosh!!!

A bowl game???? There's some folks around here who aren't grounded in reality. A&M, Arkansas and Alabama will blow-out LSU.

I would rather LSU be competitive in EVERY game they play and not look like an under prepared and undisciplined team.

When TV announcer Vern Lundquist can call a 3rd and 13 running play for a 1st down against our defense it’s time to take off the purple and gold glasses and put them on a shelf.

A bowl game would be nice for Coach O and I hope we get there. Players need all the reps they can get.

Ok but it’s imperative we get to a bowl this year. We absolutely need the extra practice period that comes only with a bowl

With the current coaching staff, not sure extra practices are a good thing.

Wow. Couldn't have come up with a more ridiculous name for an inconsequential bowl if I tried.

We're going to beat ULM

Not saying LSU will lose to ULM, but it’s not a def win the way the Tigers are playing. ULM has been a 32 and like 27 point underdog at home the last two weeks against Liberty and South Alabama and managed to win both.

They’re QB is a runner and here recently he’s starting to grasp Rich Rods Off(he missed a good bit of camp). He threw for over 350 this past weekend.

I think this game will decide if ULM or LSU make a bowl game and I could see ULM coming in with more want to than LSU. Hopefully the players will keep pushing to get better and not fold up shop bc it seems like O has.

We're going to beat ULM and we're going to lose to Bama. All we have to do is get one out of Ark & aTm.

We have a lot of young guys seeing more and more meaningful minutes and they could use all the seasoning they can get. A bowl gives us an extra month of practice/film/reps/etc. which will make a huge difference as we look ahead to 2022.

I don't care what bowl it is and frankly I don't really care if we win. Just get there, that's the ceiling for 2021 anyway.

Agree 100%.

Does O coach the bowl game?

I say no, even if the new coach can't coach the bowl game, I say let one of the asst. coaches handle the bowl game and let A&M be O's last game.

I'll take any bowl game offered. Love the Tigers and would love to watch them one more time.

A&M and Ark aren’t that good. LSU. Like beat either.

Will they? I doubt it but taking one of those is will within reach.

Birmingham Bowl

Won’t be Birmingham. League offices are in the building right next door to the new stadium, and they won’t want to pay the increased premiums on their property insurance after the vandalism!

Who cares? It's a dead season. Just make it to the end and hope Woodward makes a good hire. (Seeing his two main hires, thus far, I think he will.)

I would think that majority feel the opposite.
Get this season over with and O the hell out of here as soon as possible so we can move on to next season and our new coach.

Bowl games for developing teams are not pointless as they provide practice opportunities for younger players. They also provide something to look at with recruits taking official visits in December. With early signing and a new coach hopefully in the fold [or confirmed] by then, it becomes that much more important.

I'm hopeful we have a coach hired by the time bowl practices start. I know the new coach wouldn't coach the team in bowl practices but it would give him a chance to evaluate the players and have a better understanding of what positions need to be upgraded through the portal. These bowl practices would also keep the players on campus and give the new coach an opportunity to start building relationships and getting to know the players.

I agree, but the way the season is headed, a bowl game seems like a pipe dream. Not to mention, if we do make one, what if we get blown out to a lesser opponent? How low do you want to go this season??

I have a lot of personality flaws but masochism isn't one of them.

The game of interest is A&M. Because it'll be his last one.

Bon débarras enculé.

mean, there are are 41 bowls, so 82 out of 130 teams make a bowl, which means "making a bowl" is essentially meaningless

This. I like football as much as the next guy, but realistically there are all of 7-10 bowls that are gonna be great, 10 or so that could be worthwhile to watch, and another FORTY that all worthless except for just about only the fans of the two schools playing.

Of those forty fanbases, half of them are pissed they aren't in a better bowl and the other half don't care if their team wins or loses.

It’s like 21 extra practices.
Well, not for a bowl LSU would go to, but still extra.
