At this point (for 2021), all I care about is getting to a bowl.....

We're going to beat ULM and we're going to lose to Bama. All we have to do is get one out of Ark & aTm.

We have a lot of young guys seeing more and more meaningful minutes and they could use all the seasoning they can get. A bowl gives us an extra month of practice/film/reps/etc. which will make a huge difference as we look ahead to 2022.

I don't care what bowl it is and frankly I don't really care if we win. Just get there, that's the ceiling for 2021 anyway.

Birmingham Bowl, Gasparilla Bowl, Liberty Bowl

Probably the only ones we have a prayer at if we even get to be bowl eligible

Not disagreeing with you but many people have said on here that bowl games that aren’t New Year’s Six are pointless, especially for a program like LSU.

At this point LSU should decline a bowl if they make it

The bowl games themselves are pointless (outside top 6), I totally agree.

I'm looking at it like an additional spring ball, again pointless in terms of actual competition, but really helpful for developing the team for next season.

Another 15 ish bowl practices (or whatever it is) is all I care about at this point (for this year).

I'm hopeful we have a coach hired by the time bowl practices start. I know the new coach wouldn't coach the team in bowl practices but it would give him a chance to evaluate the players and have a better understanding of what positions need to be upgraded through the portal. These bowl practices would also keep the players on campus and give the new coach an opportunity to start building relationships and getting to know the players.

Couldn't agree more.

Real question is which players will opt out of a bowl game if we make it.

obvioulsy we all prefer a playoff team or at minimum, a big new years day bowl........but right now, i would like to get through the holidays knowing there is 1 more game to watch.

ending the season in november makes for a long offseason.

Agree but Ark and A&M probably easily beat us by double digits after a humiliating loss to AL in 2 weeks.

I'm afraid you are going to be disappointed.

The 8-figure payday is important too.

I'm not sure we can find a win between Arkansas and A&M. Guess it'll depend what version of this team shows up but 5-7 certainly looks like a possibility.

Ok but it’s imperative we get to a bowl this year. We absolutely need the extra practice period that comes only with a bowl

I'm one of those people, although there are probably a few other bowls that are pretty good.

But for a program like LSU, I don't give a damn about going to a crappy bowl. I mean, there are are 41 bowls, so 82 out of 130 teams make a bowl, which means "making a bowl" is essentially meaningless.

I think the early season honeymoon is over at Arkansas and they are pretty banged up. Lsu can win that game in tiger stadium. A&m has played like a top 10 team since bama and will probably kill us. 6-6, shite bowl with 15 extra practices and kill some overmatched AAC team for a winning season and momentum for the next coach. That's best case for me

I’d take 6-6 and the Liberty Bowl. Beale St is pretty fun….and not that far. But I dont see us beating Arky or A&M.

Definitely would be beyond welcome at this juncture. Then win a crappy bowl to at least have a winning season.

This season needs to come to a merciful end.
