Well that certainly seems like a smart idea that nothing could go wrong with.

I enjoy going to breweries, I rock climb, hike, and also play video games. I also like making candles occasionally, and trying out different teas/coffee. I rarely make my own coffee with a small coffee roaster I purchased.

I don't mean this in any derogatory way but I'm curious.

I hate driving so in my free time I enjoy driving from Prairieville to Plaquemine every day.

not as accomplished as wiz at cycling or darth at model building but a few of my adult hobbies which are all over the board because i have adult ADHD i get bored and want to try new things constantly.

- daughter at college loves miyazaki so i bought some models from japan that i've been building and painting and giving to her for her apartment

me in front w/ head down on an ill-timed sprint trying to hold off all the cat4evers at a race in monroe.

created a custom 10,000+ arcade game system from a raspberry pi including a secondary monitor used for a marquee that will change the banner to whatever game you're playing.

built a set of steps for my back deck

beat out 37 texas bbq competition teams in the brisket category and took home a check for tree fiddy

found an old military-issue blazer for my son and we restored it together

restoring a 1987 bmw e30 (i have a list a mile long of things i still need to finish on it)

spending a ridiculous amount of time with keeping my plex movie & music library updated

and every other waking moment i'm not on TD i'm spending tending to my ever-growing out-of-control smart crap in my house. sometimes i want to burn it all down.

other than that just taking my kids to dance, cheerleading and play practice, cub scouts, school events and trying to do jobs around the house to keep the wife happy.

If you enjoy guns and shooting, get into reloading your own ammo. I reload rifle, pistol, and shotgun ammo. Doesn't require a lot of room for your setup, and is very satisfying if you're a stickler for detail.

Of course if your liberal Yankee neighbors see you carrying in pounds of gunpowder you may be on a watchlist.......

There's a bazillion colleges and universities in Bahstahn. Go to their concerts, movie series, live theater, whatevah.

Unless you're old enough to be over the creeper border, but it doesn't sound like it.

That'll get you meeting people; for hobbies pick your poison with the people you meet. When I lived there, I liked x-country skiing in Vermont.

I have always lived in areas without a true winter but just moved to the Boston area and have no friends/family in the area. Looking to build up some hobbies to meet new people, make extra cash, etc.

Some side hustle I am doing now is renting my car out via app as I dont always use my car but over long term want something I can be more involved in.

Some notes:

Meetup.com is the easiest way Ive seen to find people in your area when it comes to others involved in the same hobbies you enjoy. Not really sure how many people are on there that rent out their car, but you never know.

Id have to think that Boston would probably have a nice sized alumni association up there.

I found these with a quick Google search:
FB- New England Aggie Club
Aggie Network- New England A&M Watch Parties

What were the things you did before you moved to Boston?

What type of work do you do? Have you considered possibly becoming a mentor to middle school or high school kids in your area? Id have to think that being a volunteer would be extremely helpful and appreciated (not to mention personally rewarding).

if youve never gotten into cycling i recommend checking out the mountain bike/single track scene in that area. you can do that almost year round even into the cold months as long as you bundle up.
