Nearly all Escalades are AWD with the 6.2. There are exceptions over the years where a small % of the short wheel base Escalades were only RWD or had the 5.3.
The EXTs I've had were great at hauling boats, trailers, or ATVs in the back.

I doubt I ever have another vehicle that isn't at least AWD. Can't speak to the difference between the Escalade AWD system and the 4WD in a Tahoe. All I know is having the 6.2 is worth it if you can get it. That and those new Z71 Tahoe or AT4 Yukons look nice!

Dont think the 6.2 is an option for z71, I think it is for at4 though.

GM just refuses to make the 6.2 readily available. Really wants everyone to have the 5.3. Makes me mad.

On paper the ecoboost is certainly impressive and I’ve never owned one, but when I test drove the 3.5 recently it wasn’t as blazing fast as I thought it’d be. Faster than the 5.3 sure, but didn’t blow me away like I expected.
The 5.3 is a perfectly sufficient engine but is not exciting to drive.
