Florida Man strikes yet again.

quote:

Authorities say that the driver, ??Vaughn W. Mongan, was driving a Model S Plaid with three other passengers. While traveling in a 30 MPH zone, he decided to go 116 instead.
quote:

The Tesla then flew through a stop sign and an intersection before going up an embankment that launched it through the roof of the house. The car struck and killed a woman and her dog inside the house. The force of the crash was great enough to push the woman out of the house and into the front yard where she was found. One of the passengers died later at the hospital and the three other passengers all suffered serious injuries.
quote:

the Tesla had been purchased a few hours before the crash. Travis Meisman, the passenger that died from injuries resulting from the crash was the owner. Mongan had asked Meisman to let him drive the vehicle.

Who would’ve seen this coming when they produced a sports car with a sub 3sec 0-60?

The homeowner surely didn’t

The environmental impact of those batteries is way worse than rolling a little coal.

Cars can’t fly.

Well it looks like the owner of the car who let his friend drive has a gofundme. LINK

It's up to 54k now.

And he apparently has had his license suspended for driving recklessly at high speeds while under the influence. LINK

I would really like to know if the driver struggled with this stupid fricking steering wheel at high speeds.

If only Florida had, like cities, with names and shite, so we could know which part of Florida this occurred in. That is some fine journalism there.

If you reach out to Meisman's estate they may be able to get you a good deal on one with low mileage.

The poor homeowner and dog had Final Destination type luck.

Too bad he didnt hit the power pole instead of the homeowner

may have to spin to see the fence the car went over.
