Riley will use it to get a raise.

Why would he leave? They will be in the SEC west in a few years anyway and they get top recruiting classes.

What advantage does LSU offer him?

We aren’t throwing out a contract like Jimbo at A&M to lure him.

The ability to actually compete in the SEC.

I would.

the difference here is Jimbo wasn't somewhere that would match it. So the reasons for him jumping would need to be non monetary related and he feels its just a better job

There are many smokescreen. Being lit, the true contender isn't even being mentioned much. They won't release till after season.

Here we go with people claiming to have knowledge and nobody but 3 people (who do not post here) knows what is really going on. People just let it play out. It will not matter, half the damn neurotic fan base wont like the hire anyhow.

We need OU to lose and not make playoffs , let me check their schedule and see what we got here

ETA: looks like these are the only options for potential losses

@Baylor
Iowa St
@Oklahoma St
Big12 championship

(They also play Kansas and Tx Tech but I don’t see any way they lose those games)

*cmon Aranda, make us proud and get the W for LSU

If it is Riley I almost wonder if we need them to lose? I wish they had lost to Texas.

Don’t want him to run the entire table. He probably feels like he can’t quite get over the hump at OU, but at LSU he could start a dynasty.

You don’t think Riley has the resources at Oklahoma to compete in the SEC? If he can’t compete that’s a knock on him.

LSU isn’t head and shoulders above OU. Take off the purple and gold glasses.

He says to have information when it came to recruiting. This could be something to look into.

This..

Is..

Exactly why you would make the move..

OU has a tough time only losing one game or going unbeaten in a weaker conference. How’s that going to be when they join the SEC? Not so easy.

He probably feels he can get a jump start now. Also probably feels he can recruit better defensive talent at LSU.

Riley at LSU would be as scary as it could get for opposing teams.

Riley would get even higher rated classes at LSU.

He’s been pretty damn near spot on with recruiting news that’s for sure. In Iotatiger I trust.

Riley and Ryan Day get whatever QB they want too. I wouldn't mind that at all.

If Woodward pulls off Riley, oh boy

Definitely a headline-grabbing hire and some SEC peers gonna be concerned

Way easier to recruit from LSU where you're the only game in town in the state. At OU (UT- Norman), you have to go out of state, mostly to Texas, where there's a ton of competition.

I think this is who it is too but I don't see this as a realistic option. Also, he doesn't give us enough clues so it could put the NFL on the table and coordinator position hires not necessarily HCs.
