OK, was not expecting to see Gayle in the middle of the pack, right behind Mark Cuban, but ahead of some big names including Dolan, Joe Lacob (Warriors), and ditzy Jeannie.

A huge chunk of Gayle’s net worth is the Saints

I would imagine a large chunk of their assets are tied to other things.

Jeanie... i feel like thats all inheritance. And 500 million aint shite in terms of sports money. Kinda makes sense when you hear about the PPP loans and lowballing Caruso

Probably a dumb question, but how can the Spurs guy be worth $200m if he owns something that is worth $2 billion?

That one got me. I thought he was super rich.

Also, is Allen really worth that, since all the money is tied up in a trust? I know the Blazers are for sale. I don't think she'll get the money. But I'm not sure..

depends on how whoever wrote that listicle defines "net worth". i guess we can assume that means "net" of the book value of the NBA team?

Never understood that either tbh. I was just kind of shocked Gayle was in the middle above some of the bigger names.

Surely this isn't accurate, unless the net worth's are not including the value of the franchises. There's no way that an owner's net worth is only 200 mil, unless they don't own the majority of the franchise. The cheapest franchise would sell for over 1 billion with the upcoming TV deal.

Considering that the trust includes the Blazers and the Seahawks, that is a lotta fricking money in assets right there.

No doubt. I just thought she was managing the trust. I didn't think it was hers. I thought the proceeds are going to fund a foundation (like the Hughes foundation)..

Warriors have an ownership group, Lacob is the majority owner but he only owns 35%.
Also, most of those numbers are probably celebritynetworth.com bullshite.

they are leaning towards trading Westbrook now.

I'm sure they are, but they will have to attach significant assets to get anyone to save them from that albatross. That's tough when you have already shipped your assets elsewhere. They will have to mortgage even more of their future. At some point, they will realize the path they're on and try to correct course.

Love BI, one of my all time favorite Pels, but nah, I can't agree with that.

Tatum is an elite defender and a more efficient/potent offensive player.

If his side step 3 isn't falling, he doesn't have much else on off.

BI has go-to moves that no one can stop and is a much better facilitator.

Don't like Tatum but he's just a better overall player than BI. Having said that...I'd rather have BI than Tatum from this point forward for chemistry. Plus...imo, BI should improve quite a bit next year...as I'm probably the only one here, that thought BI had a subpar year overall this past season.

Tatum had a tough finals but he’s better than BI.

BUT, BI has that mid range pull up that nobody can defend. BI shot 48% from 10 ft and beyond on nearly 550 attempts this year, Tatum shot 37% on a bit under 400 attempts. You kind of saw his lack of an efficient midrange game hurt him.

Tatum is ever so slightly better but Ingram will be better in the long run. Tatum thinks he is Kobe which is not a good thing. Kobe is the most overrated player in nba history. Won 3 ships of Shaqs back and 2 when the league was arse. Dwight Howard brought a team to the finals which is all you need to know. Go watch those finals if you can stomach it. Ingram is a better teammate with a better temperament. He doesn’t take contested deep 3s when his strength is his driving and well, strength. Ingram plays to his strengths. Only issue with Ingram is the same issue with Tatum. They both need to drive more often to put pressure on the defense and rack up fouls so they are even harder to defend
