I am letting you know right now that the Sun Belt is not accepting any of their former members that left for CUSA except maybe Western Kentucky, and that is only if Marshall does not commit.

Southern Miss is already a done deal, just haven't gone public yet. Marshall has an offer on the table and if they decline then it will go to Western Kentucky from some sauces.

The grass is not always greener on the other side

I love the "i told you all what was going to happen" USF fan over there that just threw as much shite at the wall as he possibly could. That place is like a 5th grade girls lunch table.

The schools that are being considered for AAC or Big 12 membership all have one thing in common...brand new stadiums or stadiums that have had major upgrades and expansions...

Colorado State new stadium:

UAB new stadium:

San Diego St new stadium:

Houston new stadium:

Cincinnati stadium expansion:

UCF stadium upgrades:

Stadium Digest

It sounds like...if you want to be included in college football expansion, investing in your program is the key.

Cincinnati just announced going to have a 4 million locker room renovation. I don't mind Cincinnati's with all the buildings with the stadium. I don't know how they would ever expand the stadium if they needed too.

Yes, but a few years ago Cincinnati spent millions in renovations. Added a brand new pres sbox and added seats. Nippert Stadium has a great vibe and is one of the louder stadiums i have ever been in.

I dont get that vibe at all. In fact, i think Nippert Stadium is one of the cooler settings in college football.

I agree. Only down side it is small with no real place for expansion.

Wow, SoMiss was a charter member of the old CUSA when it was worth a damn…..now a potential move to Sun Belt?? Don’t get me wrong, the SBC is much improved, but damn, I can’t imagine the H’burg money & Alum being happy about this move. Their football program is a shell of its former self. Just sad really.

If UAB and WKU are left out of this round of AAC realignment they will be offered SBC invites. They will join Marshall and USM in the SBC.

The hang up for Marshall is hiring a new university president. If they hire front runner Brad Smith they will be in the SBC. If they go a different direction then I’m not sure.

I’ll laugh if the last two teams in CUSA are La Tech and Rice

Actually, no we don’t.

But it’s good to know we still live rent free in your head 24/7. Continue obsessing over us.

This would be a fun baseball division that I’d personally enjoy.

But the unfortunately reality is that majority of LA Tech faithful and admin would rather have boiling tar poured on them than return to the Belt with us and ULM.
