Honestly, Dane Cook.
It may not be a popular choice these days, but I saw Dane Cook at the Laff Stop in Houston back in 2002. My face hurt for two days from laughing so hard. It was kind of sad to see his career spiral later in the decade.

Saw Pete Davidson in Arlington, VA. He was pretty good.
Jon Lovitz wasn't that great.
I don't have a long list of known comedians.

Rodney Dangerfield
I imagine he was good to see live. A few weeks ago I caught the movie Back To School at the beginning. I didn't get to watch the whole thing, but just something about him makes me laugh at everything he says.

I haven't, but I'd put him on the list with alot of other podcasters who wouldn't be booking the rooms they do (as headlining comedians) without the success of their podcasts.
They get those bookings simply because the venues know they will draw. Most of them are fair-to-middling standups who haven't had the stage time to get to the level of other headliners. I fell into that trap with Garreth Reynolds from The Dollop podcast. Their podcast is funny. His standup was not. He was the headliner that night, but the opener got more laughs and much less money.

George Carlin.
A long time ago, not a recent seance.

Of all the comedians I have seen live (Seinfeld, Leno, Gallagher, Cosby, Foxworthy, Rickles), the best was Seinfeld.

Great. He just flows with the crowd and knows what to put out there. He had some new material which was awesome.
I saw him on a podcast and he was funny. Seems like a regular guy with good observational humor.
