Meyer isn't a pro coach

He is in fact coaching the Jacksonville Jaguars which is a pro team so he is in fact a pro coach. Whether he succeeds or coaches there long term is another question

I thought the play calling was very Clemson-ish (not this years offense!). Trevor looked really comfortable out there last night.

Same type of high school offense. He was hardly in the pocket at all.

Didnt Jacksonville win like 2 games in all of last year?

Give him time. He walked into an absolute dumpster fire of a program. It may take him a while to figure it all out.

No
Just another college coach that is in way over his head in the NFL kind of like Nick Saban

The opener was their only win last year.

14 #1 picks since Purple Drank and Lawrence will have the worst career out of them all.

The best thing that could happen to the jags is 0-17 and Lawrence stays healthy. They need another draft minimum to fully turn things around

Yeah I doubt Urban came in expecting to be a Super Bowl contender year one. This year is all about developing Trevor and figuring out what pieces you have. Next season they will show some growth and then 2023 is when they have’ll playoff expectations.

Same thing the Jets are going through. They have no expectations of winning this year or next. The downside to that is wasting two years of a rookie QB contract.

If it’s the Jets it should be ever. I’ve never seen such a shite organization get so much damned attention. The jets got more attention than the giants even. I don’t get it.

Jury still out. He gets another ful year to do what JB is doing. Elevating a mediocre franchise.

considering how so many claim that he is the best prospect since sliced bread? yes, he's the worst. frick stats. watch the film. Manning was light years ahead vs what Trevor is doing

I’m pretty sure Trevor is almost 3 years younger than Burrow. I though both had great games last night, all things considered. Jax has a lot of overhauling of their roster to do. But QB looks like it’s going to be in good hands in the near future. Not sure why people are predicting a bust. He’s playing in the worst team in all of NFL and has come close to getting 2 wins in his first four starts. Jax has other issues they need to address. QB is t one of them.

Didn't Peyton have just as many INTs his rookie year as TDs?

As for as Trevor Lawrence, I think part of it has to be the franchise he plays for. I think if he would have gone to somewhere like.. Pittsburgh, backed up Big Ben for a year, Ben retires I think he would have a long career. But Jacksonville is a shite run franchise and I don't see him being an elite QB.
