Lots of guys lately have been mustache only. Not at 1982 levels, but they are a lot more prevalent than they were in the previous 15 years.

Grew one a couple of months ago as a joke. My wife has always hated any facial hair and my beard game is pathetic.
Who knew my moustache game was legit and my wife actually liked it. Currently sporting one that is roughly like Ron Swanson.

Robin Olds flouted mustache requirements for decades because no one was going to tell a guy who'd killed that many people to shave. When he was put in charge of the Air Force Academy, though, he shaved his face clean, probably as an example to the cadets.

Watching so much 9/11 footage this past month surprised me how popular mustaches were in New York in 2001. Don’t remember anyone having them around here.
